Team Up!

This is not the first idea of a Startrek-Mod mentioned, I know.
What I want to do is to search people who are interested in joining a "Startrek-mod Team"
I asked several people before and some asked around, so I thought for a faster Team Up, everyone who wants to join can do this by replying here and give a valid e-mail adress. It don't need to be a professional modder , we start amateur.
All you need is blender which you get from www.blender.org (later maybe 3ds max) and a littlebit time.
I hope we will be numerous...

@coplann, which import export plugin do you use for exporting into x files, would be nice if you could send it me by mail, (i need one for 3dsmax, didn't found one. )br/>

I don't want to be part of this mod. but I do want it to succeed. And for that to happen I think it should have a to do sheet.
What ships have been modded and what ones need to be, what ships for what size in game, what ships are going to replace what races ship modeles .renaming the weapons .
Are you going to replace some of the weapon GFX for ones that look more star trekky? Standard ship file size and other such complications. If not on forum then at least off it.

@moral55 we have a worksheet already... in the real member area, i changed already 2 weapons, the phasors and disruptors, take a look at the library--- there are some screenshots of my results

Just a question: When doing this mod, will you:

- Do only FULL hulls with Saucer, Engine-Hull and so on, so you can't really "kitbash" your own ships ?

- Do only Saucers, Engine-Hulls, Naceles to give your community a powerfull "create-your-own-kickin'-Star-Trek-ship"-tool ?

I really want to have that second option

BTW: Sabre is SMALL sized, Miranda-Class, Constitution-Class and similar ships are MEDIUM sized, Excelsior, Ambassador are LARGE sized, Galaxy, Souvereign, Nebula are HUGE sized

I'm not a modder, but i'm very excited to see how far this mod goes! Currently there aren't any full mods released that i'm aware of, especially star trek, which is disappointing. I hope you this will be a mod worthy of star trek, no pressure though lol.

@ Paladin 101 how far the mod goes is addicted to the members, we haven't enough members at the time cause many old members haven't the time (have a job), so I would be glad if anybody wants to join us

I didn't received a mail, sorry, but 2. I don't know if we need a beta tester now, we need people with time and flavour for Team-work thats very Important, otherwise we won't succed, but I give all of my energy to go on.

Ok, so I have this cool-looking saucer section model, and I can figure out how to export to an .X file.

Where are the "extra" parts stored, and how do I put it in game?

sorry guys but I have bad news, It seems that my whole team do nothing, the only things which exist of this mod are the weapons disruptors and Phasors which I had created months ago, If you guys want some things you may ask me in the fact that I am the only working person on this Mod "team" .
I know everything to do to make this mod but I can't make it alone.
an other possibility would be if YOU support me.

I can probably help out. I've converted over quite a few ships from another Star Trek game, BOTF. Most of the models do not have hard points yet. I just finished up on a Rom Wardbird. Here's a picture.

Why don't get get mean and tell that "team" of yours to get off their lazy asses? I was really looking foward to this. If I knew how to mod a ship I would help, bbut I don't. Maybe if you tell me I could help.

Terranor05, i'm very interested in joining, can help and want to help in many things, including assuring MOVING animation for all races....my only request is that its open for discussion and as often as possible we go for what will allow players the most choice.... I am sending you an email now, please respond as soon as possible.... I am VERY dedicated to this mod, and can learn how to create the ships if need be...
