Well good luck. Seems like there is going to be new rivalry now with the Orcas in third.

Dropped 510K in. Should be worth ~120K in metaverse terms.

It also puts us solidly over 7 million mark.

And I got my third place metal back...For like the fourth or fifth time

I know the feeling    got to work on getting rid of one of the 3 "Former first place" medals I've earned.

I'm quite certain that Syrrus K hasn't given up yet though - so maybe the reported demise of the Orcas is a little premature.   

Nice game though Purge - that's doubled the lead over the HCH to 600K+ in the space of 2 days.   

You two are a force to be reckoned with all on your own. Great job! I hope to have a much more modest contribution myself soon.

I'm pretty sure you will get rid of the "Former" on one of those pretty soon. I'm also pretty sure we can expect to see more from Syrrus K.

I've got DL nailed down to the point where I can put out a ~500K game pretty much at will...The last bit of the game is a boring on these. We recently moved the computer out to the kitchen area to make space for my, soon to be born, daughter in the second bedroom....So I made a full on breakfast for myself, my wife and her aunt, while working through the last six to nine months of the game. Only time my wife has been happy to see me playing a game!

My next one will be DA, expect to see the point total drop! I still have some hopes of tagging that first place for myself, if even for only a little while.

I think FC is due to return in March sometime...Now that will really add to the fun.

DethAdder, I noticed you are squeezing some decent points out of those large maps now...And still so modest! Keep up the good work.

Yep, by the time Deth gets up to Suicidal gigantics, there is going to be some serious scoring going on (130K for a Crippling game is pretty damn good - you're not doing a lot wrong there)   

FC will probably have a few games ready to drop on us when he gets back - we could all be looking upwards.

Thanks for the kind words.   I have a lot improving to do before I try another suicidal(still feel the sting of the last try   ) I made a mistake in my current large/crippling that has delayed victory, but I won't be denied just will take a little longer.

All you have to remember is that the AIs are the same at Suicidal as they are at crippling / painful. They just get some big bonuses and don't have to worry about economy etc.

They still play the same game - just a bit faster    Learn how to slow them down, and to use their own abilities against them.

Absolutely the best advice you will get!

Sounds good Drengin.    Always working to make the Core even better..kinda like Stardock and GC2.  

Finally got my game finished for 53K . Seems I'm staying within a 5k point window with large maps and I'm changing my strat a liitle everytime, so I kinda expected a bit more variation in scores. Oh well, I think 50k a shot for relatively quick playing games is pretty good.

Just one more race to go for that shiny racial medal.

I joined the empire a few weeks ago. I was pretty active on the meta in GalCiv 1 but Oblivion kinda sucked my time during GC2 last year. But now Dark Avatar has my full attention so I'm hoping to post a game a week or so as time permits.

The Diplomats are absolutely flush with GC I retreads (includes me, I just didn't metaverse post at the time)...I think it's actually harder to find a Diplomat who didn't play GC I, than the other way around.
