When colonizing a lot of planets it's easy to lose track of when a space port is complete. It's so easy to queue more improvements, and there's no notification until a planet has completed all items in the queue. Maybe the notification could also come up when a space port is completed so it doesn't sit idle until you happen to notice it while cycling through cities.

I noticed the planet and star names disappear when zooming way out on the map. I think the star names should remain, at least until it gets impossible to read. I understand it would be cluttered with all the planet names, but it would be useful to still know what the system names are.
I was playing more into the game than I had previously, and had a lot of colony ships grabbing planets. But I was getting confused about where the planet was I just colonized. For example, if I land on a crappy class 5 planet... should I make it a research base? Should I make it a cultural center? Hard to tell because I don't know where the planet is in relation to other races. Maybe a mini map popup could be added to the planet screen so I don't h
This is running on my machine at work, Windows XP Professional version 2002, service pack 2. Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.00GHz, 1.00GB RAM with an amazing 32MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra video card. Started the game, noticed the text was sitting low on the buttons on the title screen. Clicked to start new game, noticed there was no spinning galaxy graphic. Also noticed the Back/Next buttons were only showing the top half of the graphic. Clicked next all the way through, the loadin
Not sure what's going on. I just tried to load my game and it crashed. Smart exception had this to say, but clicking submit does nothing: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Windows XP Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 Application Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Crash Addr: 00437515 01:00036515 C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\
Cool, thanks, gave it a whirl and posted my amazing discoveries. Edit: Well, I did post them, but the post is nowhere to be found.
I'm hoping this is just a known beta issue, but it's kind of annoying that all the old outdated armor and weapons & stuff stays on the ship designer. I mean, why would you put a big weak expensive laser on a ship when a smaller, better & cheaper one is available? It's just clutter.
Yes, oh please fix this. I would play with my Wacom tablet on GalCiv 1 just because it was easier to tap while hitting the double click button on the pen than to click the mouse 70000 times. Anything would be an improvement, even if it just lets you input the number with, I don't know, the keyboard.
I never had a personal problem with the space shark. It was annoying at times, but you know, he's part of space so you kind of have to accept him. In fact, scientists have proven there is no way for space to exist without sharks in it. Here's a diagram: As you can see, the space shark is a fundamental part of the universe. You can't be any more angry at it than say, gravity or time. All these things can suck, b
Whenever I try to upgrade a ship I have made, the model of the ship doesn't show up in the 3d build area. The parts list is there, but I can't add or remove parts.
Yeah, this happens to me. I haven't actually quit a game... I usually get an Alt-Tab crash, and when I reload there are no borders, so everything is out of range.
I found the Submit button
hich is great. Matter is scarce in the Universe, none of it should be considered worthless.
nation randomly) and two way or one way only. In fact, you might not know right off the bat, you'd have to explore it further. Obviously they wouldn't be common, but tell me that wouldn't be cool! Maybe at least in an update?
Looks fantastic. Glad to hear about the resolution support, this is going to be a big stumbling block for a lot of games -- replayability as display technology seriously takes off.
