Thanks for the replies and DethAdder, you're completely right. I'm an idiot, I totally forgot that early in the game I got an event saying that high speeds could be catastrophic. Just like SewerStarFish, I'm on an immense map. This is going to be a rough ride, hehe. :)

This is my first game of ToA since upgrading to it a few days ago. I didn't pay much attention to ship speed initially because I was using basic constructors and colony ships, but I am at a stage now where I pushed through the speed techs and now have access to Stellar Folder engines. All of my ships, old and new designs, are maxed at 5 moves per turn. I built a constructor with several Stellar Folder engines and the shipyard says it can go...31 pc/wk. When I launch that ship, it is
1. Select a constructor. 2. Click upgrade. 3. Select Avatar as the ship you wish to upgrade to, click ok. 4. From the main screen, select the same constructor again. 5. Click construct. 6. Choose economy starbase. (The starbase is now built, but the words: "Upgrading: Next Week" will still be there. 7. End your turn. Next turn, the new starbase you just build will instead upgrade into an Economy Avatar. I didn't notice any differences stat wise and it's not
I've crashed a few times times while trying to invade planets, but I can't repeat the problem. However, here are two minor issues I have run into that the devs may want to look at. First, while in the planetary menu and trying to set where ships should rally once built, I cannot scroll down to additional rally points by clicking on the scroll bar.
