I'd like to see an alliance option where I can ask my ally to ally with someone else... Or add an option for a Non-aggression pack where the two parties who sign a non-aggression pack are not exactly allies, but one would not attack the other. but they would not help each other also. It pretty much comes down to "I'm not gonna be your friend if you won't get along with my other friend" option.

Hey Frogboy, btw.. I know this has been said before but I'll say it anyways... You guys are doing a great job. I really appriciate the effort and creativity you and your team put into this game. You guys are a throw back to the days of Sierra when they were still growing and producing great games. I mean that as a compliment. You prove that great games doesn't come with big name licenses or the more $$$ the better the game. I know it's may not mean much, but thank you for what you guys are

It's funny how people just DEMAND things. Maybe if say there is an incentive. Like letting thoe with talents create mods for this game. They would then turn it over to Stardock who will look at it, and then post it for downloads for a fee of about $0.25 to $1.00 american. The profit is then shared between Stardock and the creator of the mod. It's a win-win situation. Well, there's probably legal issues, using copy righted materials like BSG. But those can still be free. But any original

LINUX IS FOR LOOOOOOSSSEEEEEERRRRSSSS....... WINDOWS 3.1 RULES!!! SUXXORRSSS Sorry, couldn't help it. But seriously, I highly doubt any official support for Linux now or ever with Galactic Civilization 2. Who know's though, maybe Galciv 3 might just be written in Java that can then run on multiple OS. But then again, 2012 might just be the end of the world beginning with Gary Coleman crowned Lord Emperor of Terra in 2008.

How bout ship captains. Not heroes, just a superficial add-on where we can add ship captain's names into the ship description and maybe a search where we can search by captains. I would really love to be able to name a captain for a particular ship that is doing good. No bonus attach to captains and THEY ARE NOT HEROES.

that would be like giving a starship as a gift and the receiving race would gain what ever that tech on the ship. Like my psionic death ray.. That's a no no...

A good feature.. But I would add one more.. How making all other non-homeworld planets 0 and then having to scan them before it reveals what planet rating they really are. or atleast an option for this type of gameplay

I really wish that once your allies with them, their influence bases won't have any effect on you.. To the point where your citizens start rebelling. Same thing for military base.

Lol.. I find this funny. The AI is acting similarly to real life. Kinda like how other cultures feel about our McDonalds and Starbucks in their cities.

If you have enough interest to even try the demo of this game. You might as well buy the game. I can assure you, you will love this game. And, if you bought Master of Orion and liked it, you will love this game.

Oh, i forgot to mention the books I was reading recently. Try the Uplift Saga by David Brin. Good book about Terrans being underdogs fighting to survive in a very political and militaristic Galactic Civilization. Another good series is by Michael Gear. He rarely writes sci-fi, but the ones he has is pretty damn good. There's the Spider Trilogy and my all time favorite, the Conqueror series about a man who leads an army againts an entire

I myself like the Empire Trilogy and Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. I consider Asimov the J.R.R. Tolken of the Sci-Fi world... well, actually, I consider Tolken the Asimov of the Fantasy world. yeah, thats more realistic.

Terrans are suppose to be good, but in my games they are always neutral leaning on Neutral. Even on one game they were evil. Why is that? I usually play a custom race, the Phoenixian Domain who at one time was part of the Terrans. Long story short, my civ broke away because it didn't see eye to eye with the Terran government point of view. They being good, we being evil. Now, when I play, the Terrans go neutral or evil.. Most

Playing through a Gigantic Universe, I got 3 rangers after 20 turns into the game. But thats maybe because I got the luck bonus ability and the luck bonus from the universalist. Rangers in the Gigantic universe are only good for protecting my main planets since they are slow as hell. The game would be almost over before I can send a Ranger to the other side of the map.

AI is not cheating... U just suck. j/k... I get owned myself.. Think i overated my skills, had to dumb down the AI alot more and played at normal. I'm doing pretty good, might need to go one level up. Try to start at a lower level and move up gradually

There's $50 I'm gonna save. Not gonna buy any game that has Starforce in it. I HATE STARFORCE. But what can you expect from a Russian company. They couldn't build subs that don't sink, they can't build planes that can't fly right and they can't write software. Sure, they created the AK assault rifle, great work there btw, but its because its a simple machine. Anything more complicated than basic math and they mess it up.

Currently, I enjoy playing on a huge map with rare settings on all habitable planets, suns, and anomolies. It makes for a fun game where every trade and every planet counts. Now, what I want to do is limit the technology available. No huge hulls and weapons only to the beginning of the tech tree. I also want to get rid of some of the social tech. What I want is a grand'ol dirty war with everyone pretty much equal in technology early on

I've been posting on the subject of orbital bombardment. I would much rather attack a planet and bombard the hell out of it till all the population is wiped out, then re-colonize it. Sure, its fun to just invade with Billions of troops ( pretty big transport to fit 1 billion troops in it) and take over the planet. ( We should have done this in Iraq, send the equal amount of troops to match their population, then we wouldn't have to worry abo

Run some anti-spyware just to be on the safe side. Also, get more RAM. I'm running perfectly good with 1GB of RAM. I do notice that it lags after 4 hours of gaming. But a good reboot fixes it.

The Universe, as we like to call it, is actually flat and 2 dimensional fooling us to think its 3D. Take for example a 3D game. It seems 3D, but is it??? No. It is 2 dimensional deep in the core. Also, our life is just a simulation. A pretty good simulation, but still, only a sophisticated sim. You can test this theory. Blink... Look Aroud.. Blink.. Look somewhere else.. Blink. You, my friend has just pressed the Turn Button 3 times.
