runs fine on my Toshiba with 1.5Ghz Celeron processor , I upgraded to 1GB of RAM and have the latest drivers. Admittedly before the patches it was hit and miss....black screen of death...but all is happy happy now.
wow, definitely some intriguing stuff....slow start could be fun I totally agree with the being able to see stars. It would just be awhile before you could get to them, since your techs are prehistoric lol.
because battleships on turn 1 are the funny.

sure I have , they can get really strong , the game I last encountered them they had at least 20 planets under their control on a Gigantic map. They helped me defeat the Torians and we became friends^^
sometimes i think they trade for the sake of trading.....like one time the Arceans tried to trade my Stinger II for their Stinger III ...
yes, I've noticed that random events seem to drop off whenever I load a saved game and play from that....no clue if its a bug or what...
I'm pretty sure I changed my civilization capital by picking one of the other systems I controlled then going to that planets detail screen , there you can pick set as homeworld...i hope thats what you meant...
lol, just last nite , my laptop got so hot when I was playing Gal Civ 2 the screen went blank and it wouldnt shut off...I had to pull the battery...I think I need to tone down the graphics?
