The "Place Agent button" never lights up for me. I have never been able to place an agent.

NO worries here, I am at work all day. I am just hoping that its ready for DL by the time I get home. I finished my last game last night, I am ready to start my 17th game.

I also found this game to be nearly impossible, but after playing a few games, I started learning how to run my civilization so that it was more competitive. And now after 15 games, I am playing on tough level. But what I love it that you can recover from almost a total loss and come back to win the game. But I have been utterly annihilated before as well.

I would like some way to get rid of foreign starbases without going to war. It annoys me when someone build bases in my territory, there should be some way of dealing with foreign starbases that dosent kill the mechanics of Influence/Resource starbases.

A fully armed Starbase with all the advanced defenses is too easily taken out. A small group of ships can take out a starbase and not even suffer that much. It should take fleets of bad a** ships to take out a fully armed Starbase and it would be very cool to get the 3D battle screen with starbases as well. I would love to see a group of ships battle a Starbase.

I would pay for that. It would help make me feel justified for all the cash I have spent on my rig.

So after a couple small games set on a very easy level, I decided to launch a large Galaxy with a 4 other races in a last man standing death match on Normal difficulty. Very interesting thread. I would imagine that the stat bonuses that you give your race when you set up your game can have a big effect on your strategy. I like to give my race a high morale bonus and a high research bonus to start with whatever I got left pumed into economy bonus. I need to get smarter with what I build on my planets a tend to not have multible items on one planet. I like to give a planet as many different resources as possible. Reading through this

For some reason I have never seen the custom ship building area. I'll look into that tonight when I get home.

I do great building a strong economy and Influence, but I always find myself behind the curve militarily. The only combat ship I have ever built is the Defender, I dont see how to build other ships. I'll complete a tech that says so and so ship will be available with 1 other tech, but it never says what that other tech is. Is there a list somewhere of what techs you need to build what ships?

I decided to buy and download GalCiv II and I wondered if there was a game manual to download somewhere. I have looked around, but I have not been able to find it. Thank you
