In my opinion planetary resources are a great addition to Gal Civ. However the only problem I have with them at the moment is that there is no easy way to see what planetary resources you have. That could be it. How much do you need to research to unlock the next age? Also according to the GalCiv 3 Apha mini manual ( https://forums.galciv3.com/452714/page/1/ ) everyone is locked in the first age which would mean planetary invasion may be out of reach until the beta.

First my impressions. I'm very impressed I think the UI has been gretatlu improved over GalCiv2 and the new production wheel is far more intuative then the sliders. The grpahics are nicely improved as well. I'm loving the ideology tree. The inclusion af tile adjacency bonuses really adds another layer to colony management.
