Continued... A new game. The Iconian Refuge has one crystal. Mine came later. Now the Drengin have two crystals and will ascend even though they claimed theirs later than the Iconians. ???

Planning on an upgrade from Win7 32 bit to 64 bit. Any pitfalls/issues I should be aware of? I've been playing GCII since getting this newer (Win7) computer up and running. Used to play it on an older computer (XP). After installing GCII on the Win7 computer and updating to TWotA, all updates were handled by Stardock and later Impulse. No problems. Thanks Marvin, The only way I see to stop their progression is to declare war and destroy their ascension starbase. Then, my race will be at the upper left with less than 450 weeks to ascend. Is this the way you see it as well? This also has ramifications as I'm not quite ready for an all out war. Still, the game is mid way through. It might be wise to wait a little. TotA. P.S. I hate pirates!

Hi, This is my dilemma... Several crystals have been claimed by several races; Yor being the first, and mine came later. There is one more in my area of influence and I just claimed it giving me a total of two. Yet, the Yor are still at the upper left of the screen as the race to ascend with the same number of weeks to ascend as having one. Why is that? Shouldn't my race replace the Yor at this time as the race to ascend?
