Is it my imagination or are Jem'Hadar elite ships not as easily assimilated?

I guess I am not referring to the firepower aspect but the durability aspect. It seems like most Dominion cruisers, unless you can overwhelm the opponent with sheer numbers, can't last in a sustained battle.
And also the Breen Cruiser is far to weak, i would wish especially for the Breen Heavy Frigate, far more firepower.
Count me as well. All of the factions have at least one cruiser that is at least 20 supply cost (K'Veik, Akira, Vor-cha) while the Federation and Klingons have multiple (K'vort, Excelsior). It would be nice if the Dominion had something to counter those units other than just buil
Not so much a balance question but a canon question. It seems the D-Deridex class is more powerful than the Galaxy class. They really give the Romulans some punch. Is it mentioned anywhere in the series that it's more powerful than the Galaxy class? Just curious.
Interesting insight.
Am I the only one who thinks Akiras are overpowered? It seems like 10 of them can take out a fully-upgraded starbase in a matter of about 1 minute. Not counting the Borg it seems like defensive structures are pretty useless against groups of Akiras. Or is my defensive strategy wrong?
Whoever is creating the structures for the different races kudos. The design seems to fit in well with the other designs for that race. Especially if they are being designed without some sort of Star Trek model history to base it on. They look very good.
I've noticed on large maps near the end game there are slight hiccups in the gameplay. Is this most likely because of the 2 GB RAM issue? My video card isn't great (560 Ti) but should be adequate.
Installed the latest update but didn't have much time to play. The Z-1 does indeed look sharper. Nice.
Edit: D class planets aren't aquatic. Mind rewriting that one?
Looking closely at it I guess it's O class. Looked like a D to me.
Any possibility of other planet types? It's fairly diverse now but an industrial (borg-type planet?) or forest type planets possible? Or other variation?
Oops. I was hoping to impress with my Star Trek planet classification knowledge......fail. So aquatic planets from the galaxy view (icon) always look correct. When you zoom in on the planet, sometimes they are displayed like aquatic planets while other times they look like arctic planets. The planet population and everything else is correct just how the planet is displayed graphically. Hope that makes sense.
Just noticed something today. This is on the release from 6 weeks ago not the brand new one. From the highest level map the aquatic planets always have the right icon. But zooming in on a D-class planet sometimes they are correct and look like D-class planets while other times they look like C-class or frozen planets. Just something noted.
Kudos on the new music for the Klingons........awesome!
I've been busy and haven't had a chance to play the latest update. So I played the Romulans for an hour or so tonight. As always you guys don't disappoint. Some nice new touches. I do agree with the modifications you made to the Romulan weapons platform. I always felt like it was a little bit under powered. Also some nice additions to the in-game voices and music.
Played the update for an hour or so. Nice touches on the new ships and structures. It's always nice to have a couple of "woah" moments with each new release and had a few tonight. Great work. Merry Christmas SOA2 team!
Any chance of a pre-Christmas release? [e digicons][/e]
I apologize if these have been answered before. 1. Do the Romulans have any anti-borg capabilities? 2. Why is it that every race (even the Borg) get the 25% speed boost from phase inhibitors (can't remember the name of the SOA structure) with the exception of the Dominion? Their ships are so slow......
Was just looking over some of the new models for the next update. They look very nice.
Haven't had much of a chance to play lately but decided to play a game tonight as the Borg. Wow. Some very nice touches in there. Well done.
The new ship models look fantastic! Great job.
The problem is that the mod team has already spent thousands of hours designing, debugging, testing, designing, debugging, testing, ad nauseum. This is their mod. They have put in such a ridiculous amount of time already (for free I might add) that you are asking them to change gameplay enough to require that much more time. These people have lives outside the game you know.
Awesome. Always excited for a new release. I don't think the mod team should need to apologize for the decisions they have made in regards to SOA. This is a kick-ass game and if a few dissenters (Gepard) don't like it but 90% of the gamers love the game, you guys are doing something right.
Moron question of the day but.....how do you implement terraforming?
Have just played a few minutes with the new Rebellion update. Some nice touches in there. The planet and ship alterations look great.
