first few months of beta won't be much playing, more like crashing and cursing

Yes, SDC is required as that's how the game will be patched.
It'll be cool to see what we can do as a group. Like Psyringe, you can contact me at (my nick)@galciv-enc.com -Z
There will also likely be an announcement on the forums as well as the main GalCiv 2 page.

e protection, have their economy boosted by trade. You... you get a very very expensive buffer that gives back a bit of money in trade.
s a community could do is refer people back to articles when they post questions here. There's a lot of potential to explore here!

doesn't mean it shouldn't be included. It's sad that lately it seems games can either have a strong multiplayer or a strong singleplayer, not both.
MP won't be in release, that's not budging. SD has said so flat-out MP may be in an expansion pack if demand is suffecient. They're designing the core game so it can be added in later.

Just curious... what's everyone's favorite feature (that's been announced so far) in GalCiv 2? I'm pretty psyched about the new planetary management screen and the ship design features.
Can it be called "Da Shiznit"?
ew MP games myself.
se comparison on GC1 is anything to go by... with how good GC2 looks at this stage the final game is going to be stunning.
crash and not be all that much "fun" for a while. Welcome to our little hidden corner of the gaming universe. We are few, but we are mighty! -Z
sibilities here. These items I'm asking for/about are mainly for story and mission items... to make a mission more dynamic when compared to most 4x games where the star map is flat, uninteresting and boring.
