I just tried checking and updating the game cache, and deleting the steam blob file to regenerate it. Still crashes as the game starts, before I get to the main menu. I don't have DLC06. I tried running without "RangerAbilities.xml" and it still crashed on initial loading. EDIT: It seems to crash immediately after the FE:LH startup picture disappears and it tries to load the main menu screen.

I have encountered a crash error with trying to load LH with XtraDeconstruct 1.8b1 installed. It is not to do with the custom .dxpak's AFAIK, because even when they are replaced with the core version or a version that I already tried and had work before, the game still crashes. Apart from enabling the Demons and Wizards Ranger to get the Marksmen and other abilities that the PathoftheRanger Ranger gets, the only other change from when it worked was updating the version of Xtra
Stardock, can you make a new mode for LH random maps where Conquest Victory is disabled and there are no regular opponents, and maybe a new victory condition of "Conquer All Wildlands"? This would be like, for example, HOMM2/3 maps where there is only 1 player and different victory conditions.
If the system was not too complex and certain classes were easier to play than others (not more powerful, just easier to start with), you could have optional unlocks like in the indie game There Is Only Power which Frogboy has played recently. If you want to, you can complete objectives to unlock the other classes (and this is kinda fun for certain people or in certain types of moods, and I did enjoy the unlocks in There Is Only Power) or you click the "Unlock All" option and that is th
Every person only falls for that once. ;-)
Well, my one is pretty simple. I am Steven, from Australia. ;-)
What about a favor ability (maybe one favor for every two levels of the converted stronghold) for the priest to convert an SK stronghold (obviously excluding the main SK fortress) to equivalent kingdom units, as well as the ability to keep the level of the captured stronghold, converting the land around the stronghold to grasslands (area around that gets converted depends on the level of the stronghold being taken over) and choose all the upgraded tiles for strongholds above level 1.
I'm willing to bet that the Earth won't be destroyed. That is all. =)
I agree.
I agree with the entire previous post (although I don't think I provided as many bug reports =)). And I know that LOTS of the community that has been around since early games is tiring when they see issues (of whatever sort) come up again and again in subsequent games without it being resolved, when most of us have been very willing and able to post detailed bug reports, sometimes multiple times in various patches and various games in the series. Help us to help you, and I thi
Well, there was a thread that explained a lot of the bugs from previous games, but I can't find it at the moment. So here are the ones I remember, in no particular order, others feel free to chip in. 1. The saving process not resulting in a comparable state. For example, if the game crashes, when you load the autosave you don't have either the state you had at the end of the previous turn or the one you should have had at the start of the new turn. This inclu
Although I don't have Windows 8, I have a "Microsoft Account" associated with Skype that is a non-MS email address. Maybe it's something like "associated with Windows 8" when they refer to "Microsoft Account".
There are a lot of map sites where if you have enough gold, you can buy a unit/spell/artifact and avoid a fight. To get gold you need to enslave by beating up the residents of farms etc. You can choose to get increased gold and notoriety per turn. It's also a good idea in the early game to try and visit as many low notoriety sites when you are still at low notoriety, medium sites when you are medium notoriety etc. Also, while some sites that CAN have a non-combat o
I've spoken to the designer, and some good new features will come out in about a month, such as high score list. Also bug fixes for the discovered bugs.
You make some very good points here Dr. Franknfurter. I wholeheartedly agree.
Not in my future. =) We are in a time of chaos, the death of the old, the birth of the new. Of course, IMO. =)
The Ranger skill says it removes terrain penalties for the entire army, and I would say that Compasses would do the same, for Swamps and Forests. But currently they do not do so. I'm fairly sure this was not intended.
Currently the Ranger skill that removes movement penalty, and Compasses, one or the other need to be on every unit in a stack to get 1 movement point cost for heavy terrain. Is this intended?
Eliminating Movement penalty doesn't seem to be working at all. I got both the Ranger skill that's meant to remove it, and also a Compass that's meant to remove it for Forests and Swamps, and heavy terrain such as forest still costs two movement points.
I found that in the version before the pre-beta2 that's just been released, items that are equipped to your troops get put back in your inventory when they die. I'm not sure if this is only battles that you win, or whether the sov "calls back" items that the user can't use any more in all battles. =) I'm pretty sure that you always get all items back when a unit dies, but not 100% sure.
Yes, there are only about 10 or 15 (approx.) skills in each individual hero's tree, and even though there aren't many of them, some of them still manage to be underwhelming. I think for the game to be a success, we need much expanded and worthwhile skill trees for heroes, and a level cap of no less than 20, although even if skills run out I still think it would be best if you can level up beyond that and get some extra HP etc. each level. In a game with heroes, you can
We are encouraged to make a stack of doom and yet our heroes can only level up 9 times? That doesn't sound very good. Why not just make a bigger skill tree and allow HP to accumulate for extra levels?
I wonder how the intangibles will go for the Tyrant? Cruel, very cruel or massively cruel? ;-) Who's heard of a compassionate tyrant? =)
