The way I see it, when you buy a version, stick with it cause it's going to be like the next version after it (pretty much). We have artists on here using rather "old" version of photoshop and they're still doing fine There's no need to worry about if you can upgrade to version 8 or not, IMO

Nah, he's graduating this year (Christmas) and I don't want to rush him until he's comfortable to move on his own pace. I'll just be a burden to him if I rush him and he'll not be prepared. That will just lead to an unhappy future and maybe even regrets, if you know what I mean

I'm thinking he's probably international. Now, from what I understand, there are numerous ports people have to go through.. because wc is a problem site when I'm in China. It's probably a port of his that he needs to go through that's not functioning right and it looks like a server problem on this end.
