Have you guys tested to see whether you can log in to the MV? It could just be an issue on my end-

Well my joy was very short-lived. You can access the MV page from these forums now, but trying to post new game results creates a " "The metaverse server returned an unrecognized response. Please try connecting again later" message. Trying to start a new game results in the same message as well.

Yay!!! The MV is back. The Haiku competition worked!!! Now everyone make sure you create several reserve games to play in case the MV crashes again.

My latest effort. The only real difference between this game and my 1.1 mil game was that I got the econ event about 15 months later in this game. Well, I also went neutral rather than evil. I had fun with the TA version of the MCC in the last two games, but overall I think neutral is the strongest choice in TA, particularly if taken early. I'm going to star a game using the Korx

@Zyx - I didn't respond to your original post, or successive ones, both because I wasn't sure I understood them and you, unwittingly or not, seemed to be making assumptions about my style of gameplay (and intelligence) in achieving the score. I think I have a better handle on what you are trying to say at this point. Let me see if I can bring some of these sentiments into focus. IMO there are four elements here: rules, effective strategies, exploits, and cheats. <p

Well, scale back the red alert folks. I was wrong about being able to upgrade the tiny surveyors more cheaply. Apparently since you didn't pay for the survey module it costs the same to upgrade it as a tiny blank hull. However, I am not sure that this is at all fair since you do have to pay about 5,000 BCs for the Galactic Guide Book. Well, I'm disappointed that it didn't work the way I thought it would, but it's still a darn good idea. Cranking out 64 surveyors in one turn is still pretty am

That is an excellent, excellent idea!!! If you have the galactic guidebook they would cost the same as a tiny blank and they would be much cheaper to upgrade to constructors/colonizers.
