Right now I play a scenario with this settings; - galaxy size: gigantic - habitable planet: common - number of stars: occasional - number of planets: common - anomalies: rare - tech rate: slow - asteroid field: rare - star density: loose cluster - extreme planets: rare - events: rare - difficulty: crippling (my first time playing this difficulty) and with mega events, blind exploration and all the

Please people, if you have any ideas for a good setup option for a scenario feel free to comments. I would like this subject to continue.
I just played as "The Altarian Resistence" and found a good information about the history of Galactic Civilizations from there unique technologies. One of them is - "The Precursor History". And that gave me the perspective of the games backstory.
Thank you, Mumblefratz.
1kingbarton, If you have a card like "Visa" you can buy TA from this link; https://www.galciv2.com/Purchase.aspx Simply push the buy button and after that you get to stardock.com store. On that page you will see a button "check out", when you click on it you will found two empty bars where you h
I see, thanks! But what now?
I found it but it can't be opened.
Ok, but how do I get to the debug.err info?
There is a issue I found when starting a new scenario. In the galaxy setup there is this "game option" list, where the "Mega events" can be checked or unchecked. So when I uncheck the mege events option and click next it will be checked as go back to the galaxy setup screen. Same is for the "Research rate" option. I want it to be slow but it goes back to normal. Any advice how to solve this would be appreciated. /Mandrall
I see.
Ok, when I start a new scenario I have been testing this settings now this days; Galaxy size: large Habitable planets: abudant Solar systems: occasional Number of planets: occasional Research rate: normal Anamolys: common Minor races: 0 Astroidsfields: occasional Events: frequently Extreme planets: occasional I don't have blind explorations and mega events on. Sometimes the "allow surrender" option can be
In this topic we will discuss what kind of galaxy setups you like most. Because there is much options to choose for an scenario it can be hard to be sure that the scenario will turn as you wish it should. What is an epic scenario for you?
I wonder if there is a book that tells deeply about each of the civilizations history. I really would like to know more about the Arceans or the Iconians.
I thank you Silverbeacher for sharing your knowledgy about the krynn and the korath. It sounds interesting about the krynn, are they some kind of a sect?
To make the scenario end faster have the "Allow surrender" checked and change the stars to uncommon (but if you want to have lots of score with an military victory have it changed on occasional and the galaxy size large) on the galaxy setup. And also change the number of planets on solar system to abudant and planets quality should have the setup to abudant. Have 5 or 6 races for the scenario. This scenario should give you around 15000 to 21000 points if you win a military victory. I got arou
Ok, but in the databanks section there is a picture of an thalan with an subtitle "Civilizations". When you click on that link you get to a page where it tells about the races of galciv. It does not tell about all the races one of them is the "Krynns" and the "Koraths".
Start researching Antigravity, and once that's done, start researching Planetary Defense.
But after the tech "Artificiellgravity" you don't unlock the tech "Planetary Defense" or do you mean the "Planetary Invasion" tech? I guess its after the tech "Space Weapons" you unlocks does techs.
I'm interesting about the races in galciv and wondered if there is a site that tells about them.
I think structures that are very powerful like does from the Thalens can't be sabotaged or have agents placed on them. Every race have there advantage and disadvantage. For the reason to keep the games balance maybe.
I can nullify the Economic Direction Unit but not the other two.
Do you mean that you can place a agent on the "Economic Direction Unit" but not on the other two?
It sounds very smart about the colonyship build thingy, very. Thanks for sharing the idea! [e digicons]:)[/e]
This has to be a bug, restart the mission maybe it works.
Yes there some structures that cannot be sabotaged. One of them is the starport.
In this kind of missions I go for a strategy that follows in this order: 1. When facing the Dread Lords, I guess its a good idea to spend points in these abilities; speed, soldiering, hit points, research, and as always creativity. [e digicons][/e] And the federalist is my favorite. I go for it mostly. As the first economic points cost 2 points, I use this points on other abilities instead, as the federalist gives the 20% economic boost. 2. Try t
If you aiming to win a technological victory, the creativity ability can be a good point.
