An empire is a group of players. To join, go to the MetaVerse and select an empire to join. There are multiple ways to affect an empire. Points, your game points are added to the collective. Knowledge, share your experience with other members. Finally and IMHO the most significant, people you enjoy spending some time with. Ignorance, except for the less inquisitive, is always temporary.

Very well done Snark. Congratulations. Do you now wish your handle was AAASnarkotamus as i did mine to be AAAAjacklv? Now, for a millennium that rascal ClanLindsey will have top billing.
Now, on to the subject of Million Pointers in V2.03. I have *Finally* managed to break the barrier by building most of the ships instead of rush-buying them. I now have a PLAN for tweaking my tactic. We'll see how it works.
Congratulations Snark. Richly deserved. [e digicons][/e]
KP is this one of your distant relatives? Not even by marriage third removed (don't forget crazy Alice)? Just politely drag him into the parking lot and shoot him in the head. I could loan you a spare gauss rifle, but I think a BB gun is sufficient.
Let me see if I got this correct. If I sell/trade a trade good to another race I still keep the benefits and the race I sold/traded it to gets it also?
You got it right LZ. So does LT. And...Whoever owns the planet with the trade good structure owns the trade good no matter who built it.
Barring that, an Autohotkey macro. Autohotkey.com
I haven't used key macros since Lotus. Sounds good. Do you use in Planet/Ship List, Civilization Manager or Colony Management? Is it as fast as manual (ignoring lag)? Do you activate in game with hotkey? And....I always leave the squirrels in peace. I enjoy looking at 'em.
Welcome to GCII. If you're in for the long term, I suggest starting with DL. For a good fight try a huge or gigantic map, 4 or 5 tough AI.

Seriously Snark, your game could benefit a lot of players. [e digicons][/e]
The originating race benefits from the trade good, even when traded. It is lost if the planet which houses the trade good structure is captured. [e digicons]:'([/e] The converse is true. [e digicons]}:)[/e]
...I don't know how to get back. Is this possible?
To reset a race...select the race then in the "Customize Civilization" screen you will see the tabs..clear, load, save and next. Select the clear tab to reset to defaults.

Welcome to GalCiv. Buildimg any structure has an affect (or is it effect?) Sliders aren't that difficult once you understand 'em. [e digicons]:D[/e]
For certain Mystikmind is correct. Saving upgraded designed ships with the same name causes problems in DL/DA. Let us know what you find. edit: Regardless, access to a given core ship requires specific research which you may not otherwise find necessary. Custom designed ships offer that flexibility.
CaptainYar...That a personal best? Good game. [e digicons][/e]
Think I'm beginning to understand your question. I have noticted some core ship components are not functional. Doing a upgrade...deleting some components has no effect...they weren't really there. This may be what your'e experiencing. If not, you can test using cheats. If you still don't have the answer, let me know. I'll do some tests.
Does a custom ship win out due to brute strength compared to a core ship or just the fact that you could tailor your ships to meet opponent weaknesses?
The core or design have the same attributes. Tailor FTW. [e digicons][/e]
There is a familiar name seeking his third 1st place. Three days, over a million. All work, no talk.
To upgrade a ship, first design a ship with the same hull and desinate a unique name. Select upgrade on a target ship and select the newly designed ship. Any ship can be upgraded. There is a man who frequents these forums with the handle DethAdder. He may take excecption to your naming convention. Then again, he may not. He could certainly offer a better explanation.
Some core ships are equipped with items beyond your current research level. Don't believe any are weapon or propulsion. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
