89. You search the internet looking for some announcement that a researcher discovered 'Ion Drive'.......it has to be cheaper then gas, right?
I know what I would LOVE to see in the game, and it wouldn't require a lot of coding either. * Better distinction between planetary and civilisation bonus. I'm probably just stupid, but sometimes I can't figure out if a wonder helps my entire civ, or just that planet.
Yeah......maybe just a little 'P' or 'C' in the corner of the description page
I'd give one exception here. Influence buildings give a %, yet they are affected by influence tiles.
ALRIGHT!!!! I always wondered about this one. There are no influence buildings thst give points, are there? Just influence buildings that give percentages, correct?
If it was up to me I would just remove them completely. I rarely use them if at all. I only put resources into it in case I get spied. I understand the point of them but I like concentrating on other stuff. Would it be hard to implement an option button for spies?
I almost wish there was an optional coloured line to divide the teams on the mini map.
Thats a brilliant idea! Hey Stardock guys.....did you read this?
Its a change in ToA. They nerfed it a little but the ammount is still dependant on the distance from the planet it was created to the planet it stops on. 99% of the time I usually play small maps and the highest trade cap I have seen was 26. There is a thread out there on this subject which might give you some more insightful answers on the mechanics of ToA trade.
I posted the same question a few months ago. Unfortunately the answer is...no. Once the game starts you are stuck with the colors.
In my most recent game I conquered a huge-all-abundant galaxy (505 planets) by the end of year 1.
Nuh-Uh.
'pink blob of doom' strat the AI seems to enjoy
What is that? I do notice that when I have the Thalans as an opponent they seem to be expanded the most.....especially in the early part of the game.
Or had adapted the Dread Lord's language into their own... That would also be evident in the physical changes.
Is this something from the campaigns? I haven't played them. Did the Korath 'merge' or ally with the Dreadlords or something like that?
Where would it say who actually won and why?
Good question. I don't know, I haven't lost a game yet.
Which race is the Best/Worst in these catagories 1) Military/ships 1b) Military/soldiers 2) Economics 3) Research 4) Influence 5) Diplomacy 6) Factories for military/social building
Did you have Technology victory conditions on? I could be that one of the races researched that whole tech line and won. Did you have influence victory conditions on? What did the mini-map look like? Cuz you only need 75% of the map to win that way. These are just 2 quick things off the top of my head.
Do Vulcans and Romulans speak the same language? Could be the same principal. I think I read somewhere (the manual?) that the since the Drengin and Korath split the Korath even started to look different then the Drengin. This could imply that enough time had passed where the Korath developed their on language.
I prefer: Small Map 9 Major Races 8 Minor races Abundant = EVERYTHING Blind Explore = ON Mega Events = OFF Tech Trading = ON Super Abilities = OFF Victory Conditions = All ON Recently I have been setting the Races and difficulty levels at random. It makes for a very interesting and unpredictable game. I prefer Small maps because I can usually knock it out in a weekend. Plus, I really dont like all the 'management' time it takes as t
When making out a check you write the date as Turn: 35.
71. When you get home from work you see that: -your wife looks like a Drengin and yells at you a lot -your kids are brats and hate you like the Snathi -and you are broke like a Yor bank account Then you realize you accidently turned mods off!
64. You don't consider GC2 a game, just an interactive episode of 'The Real World'
55. You also refer to her 'time of the month' as a tidal disruption. 56. When in the sack your wife now refers to you as a 'mini-soldier'
When your wife tells you to take out the trash you request a UP vote.
You ask your wife to 'zoom to cursor'.... and she dont get it.
actually if you look in the modding section of the forums, there should be a sticky named something like "a brief guide to modding GC2 by CariElf." in that file, the numerical values of the ability bonuses should be listed (including ones not listed in abilitybonuses.xml).
Cool, thanx. The link there had exactly what I was looking for. Plus some neat stuff I wasn't looking for but now want to try
