The basic rule of os customization is: If you like it, do it; if you don't, don't. ;) I happen to like WB, and think that it is not only a great program, but a way to express some creativity. It's mostly about expression and art--but you are definitely entitled to your opinion. Our individual opinions are what make us unique. I will agree about ObjectDock, but I will take it a bit further and say that multiple and tabbed docks are a major boost to my gui look and my work productivit

AlMonty: Just an idea; try moving the default image somewhere else, like to your desktop. Then copy a new image into the folder and make sure it is named "backdrop.png." This (hopefully) would make it so that there is only one image in that folder. Hope this helps...

I'm not sure why TGA's default to paint, but it is pretty common for different image formats to open in different applications. Try this: find a TGA file and right-click on it. Then choose "open with." Then go to the bottom of the window and select "choose default program..." Now you should be able to select Photoshop from a list of options--if it doesn't show up, don't worry; you can still browse to find it.
