In Twilight, at least, there is a Summary button near the bottom right of the planetary improvement screen. Press it and you'll get a summary of what each of your improvements is doing and the total mp, tp, food, bonuses, etc.

Here it is, v3.0 at last. I promised the weekend, but delivered at 12:45am Monday morning - my time, anyway. Hey, I tried. Hope you like it. I'm very happy with it. Let me know what you think and if you find any problems. I'll do my best to fix things if there's a problem, but other than that it's vacation time for me. I played it off like this was quick and easy work, but I've been spending a bit too much time on it. I w

Yes. If you download a mod that changes the TechTree.xml, then all civs will refer to that TechTree. If you download a custom TechTree for a certain race, then any changes or new techs in that TechTree are only available to the races using that specific TechTree. Does that make sense?
Will definitely check it out. Hopefully with some more balance I can see some new parts of the game besides just combat and conquest. Thanks.
Well, the balance has served to keep wars going longer and ending in peace more often. I was going to say that we can't do much to curb the AI's thirst for violence, but there is something. You could always edit your opponents and reduce their aggression. I've never
You could change it just in the tech trees of the 7s, that way you don't have to worry about disrupting the performance of the 8s and 11s.
For v3.0, I want everything to be universal. Since AIP 7 can only be used under certain galaxy conditions, I don't want to make any changes to individual TechTrees that will change research patterns for AIP 11. As it is, all the AIPs are handling themselves very wel
So, not only do AIP 7 and 8 dislike ethics, they really don't like Pure Research. I thought maybe I'd trick them into researching Xeno Ethics earlier, but now they don't research it at all. AIP 7 doesn't seem to care for Research or Farming, either. It's a shame about farming, since with all those morale structures they should be pushing for population. The Yor build Basic Stalks, which give population, but never upgrade them. It really likes
Like MisterAedan said, some of the glaring imbalance comes from widespread errors in the TechTrees and other files. In Twilight of the Arnor, that is. Those races you see getting steamrolled by the local strongman? They probably never even developed Space Weapons. My mod fixes pretty much all of those kind of issues along with making many other improvements for gameplay and AI competitiveness and balance. If you're interested in something like that, you can f

Very interesting. We'll see how things go with the Yor. It's nice to get a glimpse into your mod. Keep it up!
The nice thing is, I don't have to choose. I was thinking of leaving both TechTrees in. With the changed Nav Centers, you could go either way. There are some issues, though. You wouldn't want someone to be able to collect 3 or 4 Nav Centers if you had more than one race with the Arcean TechTree. There's also the fact that a player could potentially cherry pick the planets with the Nav Centers, super charging their fleets and leaving the Arceans hobble
Too much to quote, but I'll comment a bit before giving my news. I did fix Spore Weapons for v3.0 (yup, it's official.) I set the AIV to 10 and it works perfectly. I also confirm giving the Altarians the normal ethics techs. Throughout my playtesting I've never had cause to second-guess it. The Thalans on the other hand, don't need them at all. They get a slew of special techs no matter which alignment they choose and they are monsters b
Looks like a wild ride. I'm eagerly getting ready to release my latest version and finally play a game. I think my first game will go up as an AAR with some commentary on how the AI is developing. I've kicked around the idea of doing a full AAR on a good playtest game, but I just end up making adjustments and moving on the the next test.

It's posts like yours that make it worthwhile. v2.1 is, in my opinion, a significant improvement over v2.0. I'd go so far as to say it's at least as big a difference as between v1.1 and v2.0. There will always be room for improvement, but it's actually getting to the

Hey, given the way I've let this sit at times, I can't come down too hard on people for not being able to check in. I actually don't mind a small gap, since it gives me time to work on my mod without feeling like I'm delaying the game. If it takes a week or two to deal with a session and a couple weeks for me to play and post, then I'm happy with one session a month. That said, I am committed to keeping a more regular schedule with more frequent updates
