GUI skinning is getting more complex every day, more stuff to be skinned and more features at every new version of the applications. Just an example: I am working on a wb skin that allready took me over 100 working hours and I still have a lot to do. Till my last one, the most time consuming wb skin I made was around 80 to 90 working hours. Skinning is mostly a hobby, but when a skin never ends, then this hobby start to become boring. In the other hand, people are maki

"Yeah, you might be right on that one sput but I just don't think that I couldn't order the domain name skindicate.com because there was 1 single suite released under that name in the year 2001." Styl Skinner: The Polymer suite was not just one single suite. It was the first mega suite ever made. It was the most popular suite ever made. It took all the first spots of Skins.org for&nbsparound&nbsp2 weeks, breaking all download records till the end of Skins.org. Nobody never did somethin

Well, I am not finished yet....more will come <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles//brazil.gif" border=0 ALT="GO! GO!" ALIGN="absmiddl

I would say that I didn't make more then 5 minimalistic skins. Many times, I recieved comments that my skins was some kind of busy. Joetheblow: suggestion, if you make&nbspimages in 256x256, when youreduce them into 16x16, you will have a dramatic lost of quality, the resizing range is away too big. I was not talking about Icon developer, I was talking about SkinStudio, yes, you can make icons on that app and it's resizing filters are very good. The contest was extended, you still have almost 60 days to make a theme. 50 icons are not that much, it is quicker to make then a complete wb skin. I made

F few tips bellow... - First think about what is going to be the concept of your icons, by this, I mean: realistic, cartoonish, etc... what materials are you going to use: plastic, metal, glass, wood, etc... Try to follow the same&nbspstyle for each icon. - always make the bigger size first. - try to use an image editor that uses vectors. I use vectors

BoXXi is one of the most kind, fair and honest person I know. He works for Wincustomize site for free, just for the love of skins. Other then that, he allready contributed here uncountless times with wonderful wallpapers, skins and themes. Tech Cat, you, in the other hand, never contributed with just one single pixel, so please stop trying to demage his image among the community, because you are the only one who will loose.
