I will try to help. I use a custom race to make things easier for me. Make a custom race with good diplomatic skills, moral, economy, research, etc but thoughs are good ones to get ya going. Yes you want to grab planets, research the right stuff too. Also be a neutral civ first. Because no one loves you and no one wants you dead. So you can last longer. Its a little harder to get alliances well kinda of it depends but, build a small military slowly so evil races wont rape you for being weak, eve

Well defense is good but well i dont research it at all... well heres a little secret just trade for it from the ai defense research and you can have it too with out wasting research time on it. On my final dreadnaught/ huge ships i got usually 20-50 attack in all classes of weapons, yes i got some ships completely balanced and some are dedicated to one or two types of weapons classes and for defense is usually to what my enemy is using so defense of 10-50 or i balance it out in all defense clas

I love my pc and 360. Yes from time to time i will play my cube at my friends house. My friends down the street are getting a ps3 and others a wii so i can enjoy it at their house so i get to try everything.

Well I am not sure if this really just me thinking the AI is good at doing this or is it cheating... but does the AI know how to find anomalies ie cheating wise like its always knows where to find them/ can see them at the start of the game through the fog of war. Hi well this is a minor glitch that happens... say i am in the menu looking to pick a race they show their ship to the right of the races picture well I see it but it just starts to spin out of control really fast or eractic. Also selecting planets their little icon does the same thing it just spins around out of control too. Even in the shipyard menu or build ship menu ships just start spinning crazy... Last problem is sometimes my in game camera might do the same thing like spin out of control
