Remember, you can always restart. If you're playing a campaign, you can always restart a level. My advise is to revise your strategy. Think about what kind of results you want, and invest money in it. Take a close look at your tech tree and your planets. They both play vital roles in maintaining your status in the game. Spend that $150k on some improvements on your planets that benefit your strategy and invest research in your strategy. In fact, it does indeed sound li

I was sorta hoping they'd up the core count. The GHz bump is nice, but I thought everything was headed towards having more cores. 64 bit is the future of computing in any case :). It will be some time before I can afford to upgrade my computer, though.
How about no Vista at all?
Vista is the future, and Windows 7 will be an upgraded version of Vista. The biggest problems are 99.9% solved, despite the insistence of whiners to keep whining. It's pointless to get a new computer with XP.

If you know some CSS, another option is user stylesheets. You can apply them in both IE and firefox . There is also an addon for firefox that makes it easier.
English words do not always have a 1:1 mapping to a word in another language. There can be a group of words that mean approximaly what is intended. Even if a 1:1 mapping exists, the literally translated word may not be what a native speaker would use in that context. Selecting the right one for these words is the most difficult thing when translating from/to English.
That's the truth - and it's not just words. It's grammar as well. A landslide, really? It may have been a landslide by electoral college, but that's nowhere near the same as saying vast numbers of us are liberal. We're still pretty split in our politics. 64 bit is the future. Today's games are eating up memory like crazy as textures get larger and models get more detailed. For hyper-realistic games like Crysis, you're gonna need as much memory (both system and video) as you can spare. Even games like GalCiv 2 and WoW are eating up memory like crazy as people keep demanding larger maps and longer draw distances. Huge worlds and large universes means lots of memory, even if it's not a game that pushes video cards to their limits! <
