While setting up a new game I experimented with creating custom races on the Choose Opponents menu. After I was done, I went to remove the races I had created - I wanted to set up my game with random opponents not including the custom opponents I had created. I could not find any way to remove them except by exiting the game and manually removing the .customrace files. Did I miss something obvious?

In my games, whenever I wanted to replace one building with another, I would demolish the existing building and build a new one. Today I noticed that you can simply upgrade the old building to the new one by laying the desired new building on the old one's tile. Furthermore, the time required to upgrade is less than the time required to demolish and rebuild! I never knew you could do this and could find no forum reference to this capability.

1) This might be a good time to clean up all the ship statistics discrepancies! For example, I have colony ship and when I double click on it in the main screen up comes a Ship Details box that says its Range is 0.4pc. If I next bring up the brand new Intelligence Report for the ship, it says the Range is 34pc. Then when I go to the Shipyard, I'm told that its Range is 2.3sct. The ship's Speed is either 8su or 7pc/wk depending on where I look. Likewise, it has a Sensor Range of 4su in one place

1) In the timeline screen, one of the 11 items is called MANUFACTURING. In the main screen display when you click on an empty tile and are shown 6 of the timeline items, one is named INDUSTRY. Maybe you should use the same name in both places? (This exists in GalCiv2 also). 2) In the Speak-To screen, what happened to the viewscreen item that showed your relative Diplomatic strength? I miss that. Let's say there are 3 races that all have a tech I want - I will generally get the best deal

The Build-Same-Ship checkbox in the Options Menu is an All/None switch. In the games I play, I want some (but not all) of my planets to keep pumping out ships. I don't see any way to do this. A Keep-Building-The-Same-Ship button in the Build Ship area of the Planet screen would be nice to have. It would save me a lot of clicking.

In a recent game, I built all my freighters at the home planet and sent them to orbit other planets. When I established a trade route later on from those planets, the trade routes always reverted back to my home planet (which was not what I expected or wanted). I would like to see the game code changed to anchor the trade route to the planet the freighter is sent from (and not the planet at which it is built).

Will faster freighters provide more trade income?

Thank you for your efforts and enthusiasm for this game. It is greatly appreciated. One question. This release is bound to produce a lot of feedback. Will there be a central place to post these?

Am new to GalCiv2. Where is the info described that is shown in the Ship List that comes up when you press F2? Can't find it in the manual. Searching the forums for "ship list" comes up empty. For example, I have a starbase that shows: LVL:0 31/17/34 S:01.03 What does this stuff mean?

I see a long delay, also. Not at startup, but only when I LOAD a game. Everything else runs very fast. Either the game is timing out somewhere or is extremely slow in the way it loads the game (although saving a game is very fast). Gives me lots of time to prepare a snack for the gameplay session.
