I do have one question though. In Dar Avatar, will it be possible to add more ship styles? The ones in GC2 were hardcoded in, and as far as I could tell, the race ID corrisponded with the style of hull that race would have. Will Dark Avatar allow us to make a whole new set of hulls/jewlery and have that selectable for a new race? if you don't kno

I'm just wondering what races people prefer to use for a conquest victory because I'm trying to figure out how to do a conquest victory well on challenging level because I recently started games on that level. it means that there is a ship in the shipyard, but not neccesarily defended because if you leave a colonizer in the shipyard, the shield icon will show up.

ok, thats understandable. As for megs to gigs, I think its 1,000 megabytes that equal 1 gigabyte, same as 1,000 kilobytes is 1 megabyte. I understand that you are frustrated, but sometimes more info is needed and the debug.err helps because it tells the system info and what is going on. Also, are you updated to the latest patch which is 1.2? I don't know about the vid card thing, although it could depend on when it was last updated, which the debug.err will tell you.

Yea that really annying. But another thing that is annoying is that weapons can fire in ANY direction. Even if the guns are at the bottom they still fire. Doesnt matter were you put the gun it fires in all direction without any trouble I just imagine that the weapons are able to swivel around (even though many weapons look like they can't be tur

Not a bug per se, but the quantum driver tech is worthless. The graviton driver IV has better damage/size ratio than quantum driver III, never mind II and I. The planet city lights have been improved for version 1.3. The latest beta includes this improvement. You will be able to notice more lights if you turn down your Ambient Light setting in the Options screen. sometimes for low population planets you may have to zoom in close to see them better.

In this game I'm doing, I just had a random event bug. The Iconians got that good/evil alignment flip random event, BUT, these guys are long dead. yea it's something thats known for a while, has something to do with the AI pathing since they kind of end up following each other trying to go to the same unexplored area. I just make sure that I send the scouts to a far away area and have it explore from there and if two scouts are ending up on the same path, I send one off some ways in another direction towards an unexplored area. um, what would the point be of multiple starports on a planet? all the starports do is allow you to build ships, the production comes from your factories. With the way it works, you only need one starport. Perhaps you could explain the reasoning behind your idea and how you think it would work? Besides you can still only produce one ship at a time, just like you can build only one structure at a time. In a Real Time Strategy game this would work with multiple barracks,

only problem is that the ship bieng 'upgraded' is vulnerable for one turn. Although once I had an enemy attack a fleet that was bieng upgraded, but the armor was already adapted to what the enemy was using and that protected my ships, either that or sheer luck. The other thing is the cost, because high end ships would be more expensive, and so you have to pay for each time you do it. ok, I apologize for the noob comment. Still, you won't be able to use this modded version for metaverse games, although if you don't play metaverse, then no prob. Also there are probably various parts of the AI that you can't modify that are connected to the starbases, so you might see strange behavior even with the added range and trade bonuses because on huge and gigantic maps, there are limits to how far you can go even without starbases.
