yea I'm finding it harder to get the economy started and it takes a little longer, but once I get stock markets early, the foundation of my economy becomes strong and stable.

Finally someone from Stardock has stated publicly that the core ships designs are poor! Um, this has been said many times by the games designers. Who has ever denied it? They don't use any miniaturisation whatsover, for a start. That and it's common knowledge with most of the community.

so they finally adjusted the weapons stuff and I guess they lowered the industry slightly to match the way other stuff has been nerfed. Looks like the economy is going to be harder on the players at first.

I don't know whether its a luck factor or some other randomness factor going on, but I'm seeing homeworlds and colonized planets appear more often without any bonuses at all in this latest beta. The tile bonus randomization could have been tweaked somehow.
yea, I don't always go for looks, sometimes I just go for functionality. Otherwise just slap peices on. Designing them to look cool takes some practice and trial and error, perhaps go for something simple at first, then try different combinations of things. It can also help if you have a certain theme in mind, such as a fierce looking battleship, or a luxury cruise ship. <td class="mb-
smjjames, The UI color in the text box is to represent that the text is selected. When you see this, typing will overwrite the text. oh I see, it's essentially like highlighting.
man, I wonder why alot of bonuses got nerfed. Although it will certainly tone down the player economies a little bit, but no telling how it would affect the AI. and you guys could have adjusted the factories while you were doing all that stuff.
probably should start a new game anyway just to be sure.
the UI color leaking into the entry field also happens with the rename ship and rename planet window. At least it doesn't happen to the ship desinger. I don't rename planets and ships very much so its not a big deal for me, although annoying when colonizing. Also, I've noticed with this build that the homeworld and colonized planets seem to come up more often without any bonuses at all. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if there is a luck factor involved.
When I first started playing, and I colonized I noticed that the entry field for the planets are filled in with the UI color, in my case it was blue and I checked with a different UI color and it's definetly the UI color filling that entry space in. EDIT: nevermind what I said about autofocus, somehow the update had turned the autofocus option on in the options menu, so if autofocus appears, check your options.
also, there is still that floating hardpoint for one of the jewlery pieces. It's one of the long bars.
1: we don't know anything about this yet, at least what has been released so far. 2: Well theres going to be some new techs related to the new planet habitatibility system, maybe espionage techs unless they are tied into something else, and thats all we know right now. 3: we might be able to do something with gas giants in Dark Avatar, but I don't think there has been any official word about it.

it would seem to me that a draw would be pretty rare because of many factors, but if enough of the factors line up it could happen. Still, that sounds like a reasonable way to end it because there aren't any of your invasion troops left so nobody is there to 'capture' the planet, but thiers was destroyed and in that way the attack succeeded. yea I kind of got the idea from a random thought about battles and the Star Trek Battle of Wolf (some number) where they fought a big one against the Borg, I was also thinking of RL battles, mainly ones from the Civil war and WWII. I have an idea that could be cool with the Epic Generator. It could create things like the Battle of Devoa or something. What I mean is that if there are alot of battles in a certain amount of time in an area like one or two sectors, but if there were ALOT of battles with small ships say 20 or so with small fleets of maybe 2 ships each it would record the period as a battle but not if there are only a few small fights.
