at the moment ive found some great settings i play on abundant everything, huge galaxy, tight clusters, fast research rate and 3 opponents on normal difficulty and the one im playing at the moment is turning out to be quite interesting i chose the terran alliance, drath legion and the thalan empire as opponents and the drath and thalan are struggling to hold onto there planets with my influence being so high and the terrans cover the most but im slowly

i find minor races to easy there just cannon fodder i always conquer them first since they usually have over level 16 planets the ones i ever had a problem with were the snathi i cinquered two of there mining bases and planets but it did not wipe them out im guessing they have another planet tucked away somewhere they are the only minor race ive had expand though

ok considering the amount of problems you had it sounds like it could be a corrupt copy of the game because thats happened to me before i had the specs to run a game but it kept on crashing. your computer seems fine so i dont think its that since you have all the latest drivers and what not. my asvice wpuld be to uninstall and install it again or get a new copy of the game

ok so heres my annoyance ive built a decent destroyer with 2 beam weapons and 2 missles and one gun but when he tactical combat starts where you change the camera views and watch the action. i expected to see 2 beams and 2 missles and one gun firing. the one gun was ok but ive noticed whenever you have more than one of a weapon you dont see how ever many youve got fire at once. for example if you have 5 beam weapons when they fire i would expect to see

yeh i know one time we had just met and then they traded with me i rejected it coz it was a stupid offer and then from then on they got angry at me and no matter what i tried they wouldnt change thier stance they seemed bent on war with me

has any one else noticed how quick the altarians turn sour. And the must have somesort of good economy because in one game the had only two planets and very little influence then the next turn there influence skyrocketed and there planets went up to 8. they must of hoarded colony ships so as my first question who actually thinks the altarians are good coz i dont
