I tried buying the Earth 2150 trilogy, but it says my username/password combination is wrong when I try to log in. I checked my e-mail that I got from Stardock re: my username/password, and I'm definitely typing it in correctly. When I request having my password sent to me, it says an e-mail was sent but none ever shows up. I'm definitely entering in the right e-mail address and password. Can't emphasize that one enough. What's going on?

If you want stability, don't download betas. Install the 1.0X patch, update your drivers, then post an error log if you're still having problems. Good luck!
Sounds like a bug, not a cheat. I was expecting another post to the effect of "OMG I got pwned!!!11 AI is teh cheetz0ring". While your attitude sucks (and attacking the honesty of Stardock is completely unjustified), at least you're not one of those idiots.
Someone really needs to put together a crash course in the English language. The world needs a half-hour solution to a dozen years of public schooling. Ideally, this course would cover: general rules regarding apostrophes, punctuation, commas, how to spell "rogue" (it's not makup), capitalization, to/too/two, your/you're, they're/there, its/it's, caps lock, common logical fallacies and the use of "lol" in place of all forms of punctuation. At the e
Personally, I value the increase in relations that you get when you're trading with someone more than the money. If there's a galactic superpower and you're not it, trade with them a lot so they'll like you. From there you can either start funding their enemies with ships and tech to cut them down to size, or help them take over the galaxy and go for the diplomatic victory.
So Stardock is responsible for SkyNet! For the sake of the human race, stop making the GalCiv AI smarter! It's ok to make automated factories, and it's ok to make killer robots, but it's not ok to make automated factories that make killer robots. A cheating AI limits my options as a p
If I'm going to be fighting near a military starbase, every single one of my ships will have a point of defense to get the starbase bonuses. The final result is three points of defense vs any attack, and four points vs the type your defense protects against. That is well worth it. If my ships are unsupported by a starbase, tiny hulls go all offense while larger ships get a mix. Pure offense is cheaper, but you don't get an experienced mil
They're not making something that he likes. Thus, he is offended. I can barely hear myself think over the sound of the whole world not caring.
Just goes to show that no matter how good your product or customer service is, somebody will always be there to b**** about it. Oh, and there's never any shortage of hyperbole, with claims like "It even makes Starforce seem like a minor annoyance compared to this." Has Stardock secretly installed drivers that damaged your hardware? Has Stardock software copied itself onto all network drives with read/write access? Do you need to reformat your hard
and if they were too weak people would complain they were pushovers And with "unbelievably powerful" and "too weak" being the only options, it looks like there can be no solution. Errr.... If the strengt
I've also got a GeForce FX5600, I'm using driver version 8.1.9.8. No problems here.
Is there a way to skip watching ship movement? I haven't found an option for it, and when I've got a huge radar ship network in place the turns can take a while.
This is the fifth post you've made in 15 minutes about your tech chart. Stop spamming, or go to hell.
That's what I'm saying too. Haasen said he bought a ship from someone for $2500, but I don't consider that to be a good deal. Compare a Ranger to the other ships in play for most of the game. It's pure whoopass with an engine attached to it. Paying 2,500 BC for the most powerful ship in the galaxy is a <I
PRESTO!! Anarchy in a can!! (That phrase is trademarked) But that's not anarchy... that's just a bunch of governments fighting each other, which is quite the opposite of anarchy.
Because the world really needs another Madden that is practically identical to the last game which really wasnt that great to begin with. Hey, the names on the jerseys are different. Some of the players are even on different teams! Also, the commercials hyping each annual installment are updated each year
Me's want combat tactical, me's want to order suicide run into enemy battleship. Good lord, I know you speak English because you did it in the last paragraph of your post, even going so far as to use commas, which is beyond the grasp or concern of many people online. What is this childish pronoun use? "M
God bless the Yor. At least they're consistently evil. Quoted for truth and humor. Then again, my favorite race setup is Yor with +50% Diplomacy, +30% Economics, +10% morale, and either Populists or Federalists. I'm everybody's rich shiny robot friends. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles
Urk. No. This forum is not "create your own game". Having too many options will take from the original game. I'd rather they write up code to make surrenders more fun rather then flush it down the hole. Because if this were implemented, they'd send a Drengin to your house to punch you
Wildghost, did you just post on the first thread you clicked on? What does your problem have to do with this thread? Try to keep your posts in the appropriate threads; you're far more likely to get help that way. Back on topic... congratulations on more positive reviews! You've made a great game and it really shows.
Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein. It's not particularly long, but it is excellent. It's also the first instance of infantry being dropped from orbit to fight in powered combat suits, and Heinlein describes their tactics and equipment in great detail. (Think the armored infantry in Tribes/Tribes2 fighting the Zerg horde and you've got a good idea what that's like) It's enough to make me wish someone would make a game or movie adaptation that doe
I've noticed the same thing. It's pretty rare to see the AI actually defending their strategic resources, although I'm imagine that's more of a problem with their lack of starbase upgrades in 1.0x than anything. I haven't tried the 1.1 beta yet... gonna wait until it's all there instead of learning a new system that might not carry over in its current form.
how do you know there arin't purple stars out there somewhere lol Because he is an astronomer . He can tell you there aren't purple stars just the same way he can tell you there aren't planets that are shaped like dogs; the laws of physics operate in such a way that the result you're thinking of is
I think the best implementation of this idea would just be a universal line of sight bonus for your planets. No building upgrades or planetary tile use necessary.
I don't see the Yor losing to a cultural victory very often. If the universe was just the Thalans and the Yor, I'd expect the Yor to be fighting the Thalans, especially if they had a powerful military. The Yor just aren't very nice when it comes to living things.
