<3 that neutrality auto-upgrade.

Moments like this that demonstrate just how plain my ships are...
It also governs the chance of random events when colonizing. In fact it increases the chances of all random events occuring, for you anyway.
It would be nice if you got to choose where it goes, or barring that they tell you in the screen (along with the base production of that planet, meaning what it would produce if it was 100% one thing). That way we could better judge its usefullness.
Well.... what do you mean? Like boarding parties, strategic maneuvers and such? I beleive part of the answer is its very difficult to get the AI to correctly use such (seeing as it doesn't cheat). There are also other reasons floating around but I don't remember them.
Yeah I don't get what you're saying either. So the final total of the third is less than the second? Isn't that expected since you're using cheaper parts? It also figures in other things such as changing weapon type, def vs offense, etc and I believe it has some added cost built in.
Yeah its almost always like that for me. The beginning the AI is a bugabear to get a leg up on but after I do it heads to the shredder.
Did you remember to group your ships in a fleet? Were their fleets bigger than yours? And has been mentioned, don't use cargo hulls for fighting ships. You probably can't get the other guys to attack the iconians because you're not offering enough to make it worth their while, and the bigger the Iconians are compared to them the more they're gonna want from you.
It really depends, you just need to be better at managing that sort of thing and keeping the population happy so they get the 75% bonus and the 100% morale bonus's. Also it helps to get a pop growth ability.
Someone could mod in some modules... or mod the existing modules......
I voted no, but in retrospect I *Might* depending on its features.
There are/were specific reasons, good reasons, for it. Its not that hard to do. Also make sure that if you updated to beta that your language settings on your PC are set to english, or theres something with language going on.
You need a beta version (or the soon to be released 1.1) and as of now you still need to manually upgrade all your research buildings. But the up side is they're either equivilent in production to the highest research center or better, I forget which.
One of the reasons is its ability to be exploited, and the difficulty in programming the AI to use it effectively.
It depends, I know people who are still challanged by just the baic AI, in fact most the people I know are though that number is decreasing. Try playing on a higher difficulty setting. They won't be smarter but they will get more economic bonus's, which should help them build up better. Personally I always beat them, but then again I usually have my social spending set at 50% and my research at 50% (allowing my military worlds to
Take the terrans, then if you can build up a few constructors and another army for the iconians. Make sure you can take them in one or two though. Another good tactic, buy out their starships if you can. This is particularly usefull if you just want one of their worlds, just buy the ships in orbit around it. I've seen the Korx surrender to the Drengin before, they were being attacked by me and the Drengin were my allies (th
Starports generally take me 1 turn to get back, thats just letting them build. I don't really see the problem in letting them be demolished or even merely upgraded to something else.
I find having an OFM is almost useless. I just put a fleet of ships around each system with planets I own and have them look out for invaders. When the AI starts getting higher movement rates I either put a sensor shio out or get eyes of the universe.
Do you mean income, or net profit? I hope you mean income, because net profit could be manipulated by just lowering the level of spending. Alsothe total amount would have to be determined by the total PQ of the universe, so a universe with less PQ would require less income. Or perhaps it would need to exceed that of the other civilizations by a certain percentage. By "it" I mean either your total BC total or your income.
On the bottom left there is a list of waypoint options, choose disband.
Yes no more funds are required, but personally I feel it would add a bit more depth and strategy if you had to maintain a minimum level of espionage funding to maintain your current level.
I can confirm that in beta the AI tends to build up its fleets, not that it does them anygood by that point though.
They are in the process of redesigning the forums, so hopefully they end up working better with the goodness (the metaverse medals and such) that we love now.
It may not be the most historically realistic thing, but you gotta admit it is acting like a real player.
Each race has its own AI, so it might not be possible. But what they could do I think is randomly assign the AI's to races.
