Defend this guest: explain to me how God is not an Evil f@##$ing bastard for sending humans to Hell to burn forever. Does he do this to listen to our eternal screams? Does he do it so people in Heaven can be entertained by it? You can talk about homosexuality, sin, murder, lying, cheating, etc. all you want but I say God is an evil F@#$@#$#$ bastard that puts all these issues to rest with his blood lust and apparant joy of seeing his creations suffering in eternal torment.

Have you seen the movie Gattaca??? There is no gene for the human spirit. Oppressed and outraged by the superiors we could use our rage and hatred to give us a huge morale advantage. Raw hatred and willingness to fight is probably one of the best attributes a warrior can have. Just look at Braveheart. Outnumbered and out-teched by knights, they proceed to kick some English butt. Why do you think the war in Iraq goes ill? We are America and we have superior technology. But these terrorists

It's just that the AI is really good with the weapons approach. Or, more accurately, the AI is better at that than the other tactics. Personally, my favorite tactic is research and economy. With good research you can get everything. Summer of 2230, the Drengin had a HUGE fleet of Singularity Driver ships and an even bigger fleet of Super Dominator Corvettes. They declare war on me. I didn't even have Space Weapons. Three dark turns ensue, with numerous losses in co

Maybe God wants us to do genetic engineering. How is it possible for us to throw a monkey wrench into God's plans if he is perfect and powerful beyond measure? If he hates genetic engineering so much, then why don't He smite us within the blink of an eye? People probably thought cars were "of the Devil" when they were invented over a hundred years ago. Now, we just accept automobiles as a part of daily life. People use to think it was ok in God's eyes to own African American slaves, but now

Yeah, as great as the ship combat animations are, you would think that ground invasion graphics would be better than practical "atari" quality. I know with a few minor animation changes to ground combat, conquering the galaxy would be alot funner (although it already is pretty fun! ) Specifically this is what they could do: If playing as a default race, have the soldiers at least kin

Planatary Invasions in MOO2 looked alot better. I don't remember too much, but I believe there were technologies for tanks and big mechs to defend planets. If you had that tech and structure, you would then actually see them fighting.

"ok your genes have delt you a bad card so what, bathoven was deaf, Di Vinci was gay and Autistic. If stem-cells and genectic engineering come to the future of mankind it will be the end of us. It is our weaknesses that give us the strength to move forward and reminds us of our morality if we cure all of these defections we will lose our flear and our indiviuallity. I want to help people going though deeper hells then I, but the way to do that is to accept them for who they were born to be, no s

BTW, check out this website: I am not kidding when I say I have visual snow; it litterally is like seeing through a badly tuned T.V. set. www.visualsnow.com.

I happen to have distorted vision, where I have "visual snow" all of the time. I am all for genetic engineering if it prevents dawns syndrome, etc. Anything to keep people out of Hell. Some people live in it every day. I am 100% for genetic engineering for perfect health.

Here is a good idea I just thought of: When you research a planatary improvement tech like soil enhancement or habitat improvement, don't automatically add all of that to the building quea (sp?), but instead, display a notice that the planet has unused building choices when it comes up. That way, you spend to upgrade one planet tile at a time on your planet before then building a new improvement on that tile which makes sense.

Now that you mention it, my 113 hit point huge hulled ship with disruptors and invunerability field did go down to 111 hit points once as the drengin in my game did have some decent missle tech. I think my total shield defense was like 45? so against missles, my defense should have been like a total of 6-7 if you go by the square root rule (do they round up or down on that one???). Ok, not invincible, just needs some tweaking. Have you tried out the new patch, Belanos, to confirm that the fog

I went onto stardock and didn't see the new patch. Does this patch fix the FOW problem on gigantic maps and the incredible defense bug?

8 Replies 8,347 Views

I haven't yet played on a gigantic map and don't intend to for the near future. I don't like my games going on forever. I am just trying to get more Metaverse medals. I think, however, that the "super defenses" bug is already on the patch I have as my invunerability field shields protected me from everything. Granted, I was playing on beginner where the opponents had a max of 3 attack for mass drivers. However, I do remember one of my "ubber ships" taking a decent amount of damage when it w
