I am trying a clean install now.
Forming your identity around pot makes you look like a dumbass.
You're still infringing on IP rights if you use copyrighted terms, such as Star Wars or Jedi. Lucas could sue Stardock's ass into the ground if that stuff is on an official site.
Well, it's hard to say exactly what causes it. I am playing on a Huge map with 7 opponents. After playing to the point where all planets are taken, of course wars break out. Sometimes, when I get invaded, the invading ship has 0 soldiers on it, and it just keeps invading the same planet over and over again. Eventually the game runs out of memory and crashes. As you can see by the debug log, I do not have a small amount of RAM in this machine <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL
Who cares? Get some priorities.
I get this bug in every game now. It makes it almost impossible to finish a game. I have to keep saving, killing GC2 (because when this bug occurs, it is also impossible to bring up the menu that lets you quit) and reloading. And while we're on the topic, it would be nice if there was an option not to display the invasion dialog box.
I agree with Frogboy. However, to the user who suggested modding, many people only care baout playing in the Metaverse, where modding is not allowed.
I encountered that bug in nearly every game in 1.2 but have not yet seen it in 1.3.
get to a point late in the game where you are getting invadded a lot. open the task manager. click through several dozen invasions. go back to the task manager. you will see that memory usage steadily increases while going through the invasions. eventually, the game runs out of memory and planetary invasion no longer works (transports go up to the planet but no invasion happens). at this point, several other dialogs don't work, including starbase construction. I have 2 G
Campaign: don't care Any feature that can't be used in Metaverse: don't care Everything else: sounds cool
My game pc is not internet connected tough luck for you. welcome to 2006.
It would be nice to be able to speed up the ships as they fly around the map, like the speed option in in Heroes of Might and Magic. Waiting for all those ships to move can get really boring.
official response please
Often when building improvements on a planet, I do so in the same order every time. It would be useful to be able to set up customized lists of improvements in advance and then apply them to a given planet (e.g., tech planet, industrial planet, balanced planet, etc.). This would save a ton of clicking.
the updater should not propmt for reboots after installing things that do not require a reboot, such as a replaced set of game files.
why don't you save the ship configs as binaries instead of parsing ascii files?
multiplayer in a turn-based strategy game = pure torture
you should "follow up" with them by suing them.
