I agree about upkeep. If it has a hard number, its based on your economy more than -50 percent economy for 20 ships Also, are there any other backgrounds than that rosy orange one? And if so, is there an option to get them? The orange gets extremely annoying.

I am not sure what you mean by register... If you mean do I have an account, then yes I do. If you mean put in the actual beta key, well, I need to get the email first...still waiting.
Hmm..thats weird. I got it to download before, but it was on the wrong account so it didn't authenticate. I uninstalled it and moved to the other account, but now it won't reinstall on either. Do I have to register it or something before downloading?

Wait... this is whole thing with shields is confusing I mean, does this mean that the first weapons that strike a shield transfer some of the damage through it? yes, there is always a percentage of damage that transmits thru. Can you also determine how far apart (rare) planets/solar systems are? That way they would be more isolated and harder to take.

Hopefully there are anomolies, random events, artifacts, or something else. They really make the game more interesting and each one different (random events were pretty much SOTS's only good point )

If you're in a planet's gravity well, you can see everything in it. Otherwise you can't. So, you can't hide unis on the far side of planets/behind moons? I was looking forward to that...
