Everyone else has logitech mice and 6000 series GFs. . . so why does it (rarely) freeze on my PC? Just curious. I also have a Wacom Tablet. Are you using the stylus or the mouse that came with it? I had

I think this feature should be added, because people want it, and options are good. Please read the post above yours explaining to the post above that, that a previous post (above that) from a developer states that it's gonna be changed.
certain error dialogs from the ship designer seem to be placed into a background queue. I'll try to remove an object that still has hardpoints attached for example, and nothing will happen. I'll click again, and still nothing, then I'll figure out that something is still attached, and go about removing that and designing the ship. When it's all complete and I exit the desi
A shame, that.
Any news about resources disappearing when you destroy their mining starbase?
I don't even HAVE Civ4. That about covers it.
A -for all of the reasons already stated. Sorry.
I’ve always explained that one away by imagining that the spearman was an entire legion of spearmen and a tank was just a tank. Heh. Not to be picky, but that wouldn't make a whole helluva difference. I don't care if you have 10 legions of spearmen. One Panzer takes them out. Even if it runs out of ammo and has to squash the remaining guys. <
I am holding my breath until Stardock releases a MOM type fantasy game. ::taking deep breath::
It happened to me as well. I blasted the sucker with a fleet. It was too nasty a toy for them to play with. As mentioned earlier I believe it happened right after one of my planets was captured by the Altarians. We made peace. Then they declared war on me again. Lo and behold I'm being attacked by a Retribution MK 2 (same design, different hull) it was the only one I saw all game.
Let him play it on your computer. If he installs it on his computer that's piracy. "He'll eventually buy it" is a lame excuse. Sorry.
Heh. I always believed that Priority Mail is like Jumbo Shrimp. A total oxymoron.
AFAIK if you don't actually build military ships the AI sees you as fruit ripe for the plucking. I've used that in a few games to my advantage. I build up a surplus of cash and when the AI declares war on me (the last time it was my "good friends" the Altarians), I pumped out a huge flotilla of large ships on all of my planets. I went from 30,000+ BC to a negative number in two turns. Then I set out to take all of their planets. I just LOVE when I go to the diplomacy screen and they say somethin
This is an interesting border graphic "burp" that I found. On the left are the Thalans. I'm on the right. And the nearest Altarian planet is to the upper right. This is a twisty little Altarian border that I thought was funny. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/RichVR/border1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/RichVR/borderclose.jpg I'm guessing that the border algorithm is a bit drunk.
Oh, and to clarify, the resources disappear as well when I destroy the starbase. Not even a sign of them. If I destroy a starbase on a resource should it be destroyed as well? This was true before and after the patch. Strange, but there don't seem to be any anomalies anymore as well. Maybe I should start a new game to see if I even have resources or anomalies... Strange.
... I was hoping that the bug would be fixed for savegames as well. I'm near the end of a long game on easy (yes I'm a noob) and it's just me and the Terrans. I just downloaded and installed the patch. This was in the notes: + Fix for when a starbase is destroyed and being unable to build another star base on it So is this
Double post, sorry.
Talk about lucky. The Humans and I are having a bit of a dustup. No clear winner so far. Then I found this. http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/2736/luckyme9oa.jpg
I don't know if this will help everyone (or anyone). But I had the "Shipyard won't save my new ship problem". I uninstalled GalCiv2 through SDC and then deleted all the folders associated with it. This includes the folders under My Games in the My Documents folder. Then I restarted my computer. Then I reinstalled ALL of the files. My next problem was that when I went into the game, I had no text on the buttons in the opening screen. I was a bit annoyed at that point. So I

I have started and saved a few games. Then I deleted them and started one game that I intend to finish. At no time when I restarted GalCiv2 have I had the Continue Game button accessable. It is always greyed out. How do I get access to this button? Do I have to check someting in the game parameters that I may have missed? Is this only for a campaign game? Sorry if this is an obvious thing that I'm just missing due to some for
Yep. Gotta add to the luff here. I had the sucker downloaded and running by 12:54PM EST. I have a post at 12:56PM EST to prove it. Was I the first? And if so, do I get a medal or something? I sincerely feel bad for the people that had/are having problems. I am completely sucked in by the whole gaming experience. It was everything I hoped for and more. What else can I say? <img
By "the galciv2 website" I'm guessing that you meant Stardock, right? If you preordered from Stardock then you should also have gotten an e-mail with a serial number. If you ordered the disc version, your confirmation e-mail should have a temporary serial number that you can use to download the full game and play it while you wait for your boxed version to arrive. You'll probably have to check your old e-mails for the confirmation. If indeed you can't find the e-mail, you can e-mail
Gonna go play now. See ya.
I didn't like what I saw in the Demo for GalCiv1. But I spent time here on the website and forums and read as much as I could about GalCiv2. I preordered after about a day or so. I love MOO2. I do not expect GalCiv2 to be another Master of Orion game. BUT. I do expect it to be the kind of game that I love to play. So, if you want advice from someone who just re-purchased MOO2 because he loves it so much... BUY THE DAMN GAME! NOW! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/
