Ok gotta apologize a bit. The CPU intensive algorithms optio does show up in prefs.ini but only after you have choosed a race or made a custom race. My bad there for not testing more carefully But still there is no clear button for it in the galaxy creation screens, I can only find this in prefs.ini. Can somebody confirm that they have this option available? If so, I really should consider rein

Check out the 1.2 Change log in Journals section of the forum.
Looks sweet! All the colony manager UI changes are great and a big thank you for implementing these: + Added GNN notifications and dropdown icons for the following events: 1) A civ declares war on another civ 2) A civ makes peace with another civ 3) A civ surrenders to another civ Still no "allow extra CPU cycles" option, but Iam guessing it will be implemented in final 1.2 ?
@feanor I was just going to try it, but decided to delete prefs.ini before that. A mistake now that I think about it Still no 1.2B around, hopefully this mystery option sees the day light then. What seems strange to me, is that Frogboy has in many occasions said that the option is there, just that it wont make a difference. Still many 1.11 people like me don´t even see the option <
@dan Your recomendation has been brought up many times and everytime Frogboy has said it would bee too hard to implement. Ok not hard to implement, but would be almost impossible to balance. Those are almost his exact words as I recall it.
Ok so I have 1.11 official installed. Can anybody point out, where in the pictures is the "AI uses more CPU cycles option" ? I assume it should be in the "game options" box but... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Sm
The government screen still says that different governments gives a production and research bonus when they in fact don't. Should be a quick thing to fix. "...that's a clear glitch in the text display. As the designer and the one who implemented the code, I can assure you that the text description should not say that. I will see that that is c
I like most of the OP:s suggestions! Iam not quite sure about auto upgradeable star bases, all I know is that its bit painful as it is now. Formations in combat viewer would indeed be really sweet, at the moment its total chaos and I don´t get any sense of "great" battle going on. No matter how many ships are out there. Also upgrading planet invasion graphics would indeed make the game much more entertaining. Imagine when using mass drivers there would be actually meteors
Bit confused about 1.11 AI using CPU more thingy. I noticed that there is actually new line in prefs.ini called "AllowCPUIntensiveAlgorithms=0". But as you see its default on zero as in 0 which in my logic means disabled I hunted for this in options section but as we all know it does not appear there. Frogboy should we enable this feature on our own or whats the catch? Iam really e
I voted yes. But I would also like to see new graphics for planetary invasion. Should not be huge thing?
Good finds, not many people notice these things
Yeah I kinda agree.. Why can´t it be just two lines moving in closer little by little while blasting each other away. This way the free camera could be atleast bit useful. Now the ships go around like mad men.
I have mentioned this probably earlier but way too important to miss 1.2v IMO. -- mega importan Colony management screen -- 1. Please add rallypoint selector for each planet in this screen. 2. Show focuses in this screen with little * if not else and you should also be able to change focuses on this screen. I find this screen the most important screen there is in this game. It is very well done, but with these modifications I think it would be even be
Cheeeeesyyyyy But yeah what can you do. The new system which should lower early colony rush does not seem to be working all that well. AI spawns like crazy. They usually grab 2x as much planets as I do, but I beat em in the end still. AI set on tough.
Indeed I too feel the 100% mega bonus is bit too much. Why not keep it simple by red , yeallow and green zones? I understand that at this point, its very hard to change whole concept of approval. But for the love of god, reduce the micromanagement I had (in my mind) very neat idea about making different races more unique. A popular request as I understand. This all came to the Thalan ants a
Informing you when other civilization go to war would be nice. I tend to play happily in all ignorance when half the galaxy is at war. If I actually knew they were figting, I might exploit it. Call me lazy, but I don´t check the "threaties" page that often. I also like the way computer informs me that they are attacking me. But hey why not make it fool proof! Make the window surrounded by flames or write in big red fonts WAR. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile
Gah the edit button is missing so have to post a new one. Indeed Walldorf2000 post made me realize how badly this game need a quick button for "move all autopilot moves". Make it happen please
** Colony Management List ** Could you please add a Rally point selector button for planets in Colony Management screen. Would be super useful atleast to me, anybody else support? Pretty please .. Also when you currently move a rallypoint, sometimes ships do actually go to the new locations, sometimes they just drop it and stay where they are. Could you also c

In early game its nice but later on becomes pain. One more vote for option.
I also find it rather annoying that you can actually uncheck racial bonuses and get no points out of it. In my mind they should unremovable and colored differently in Abilities tab. If you really want to disable racial abilities, there is the custom race option right
Yep tech development is really fast. Which is bad in long games, as you get unfocused and choose stupid techs. Just because the research screen pops up too often I play on very slow too, but it does not seem that slow.
The OP had great ideas and so did the rest of the posters too. Devs please check this one carefully! My additions: - Option to choose rally points for planets in civilization manager/colonies screen. - Yes the constructor star base influence zone could be tad brighter Please do consider all the ship yard improvement suggestions. When choosing a component, tell us what it
Well I personally like the industrialist party. I put my ability points on research, economy and population growth. Like you said, what kinda game you want to play. Then ofcourse there are the ruling party bonuses which adds to the mix, so many ways to play
