I'm very happy about the tech tree will be streamlined.I would like to know if there will be also better descriptions.Having some of the techs with a description VROOOM, YAWN didn't help the immersivity of game

From the image on gamespot it seems that torians now get different hulls(i hope not to be wrong).Does all race in gc2 get their unique hulls?
Mega Events??? Aren't they already iplemented in game?I had an event in which all unhabitable planet got PQ10, another with fanatics popping up? So what are these mega events?
Kryo so the only thing i can do is just changing akilians portrait to make it different from that of fanatics?
I have already changed all the portraits and logo of minor races; but i didn't found a way to change portrait and logo of fanatics which appear as random event to attack all evil races.I don't like the logo they have and the portrait is the same of akilians so i would like to change it with another from library. How can i do it considering that in raceconfig.xml there is no race called fanatic?
One thing that i haven't understood (due to my not perfect english) is if the expansion pack will be published later will it be available at retail or will be available a version which include gc2 and dark avatar, so the expansion only version will be available only digitally. About the question aked by frogboy i must say that it would be surely better an enriched expansion with more feature relased later than an expansion with less features released earlier. I like this game but I'
In Dark Avatar what kind of missions you can perform? Up to now we have confirmation about sabotage improvement, counterintelligence, and spy planet. sabotage production is likely to be implemented. I would know if there are other interesting missions like "terrorist" acts like you have planted atom bombs on this planet, population killed will be between 50%-80%, or use nerve gas, genetic attack with all their different percentages of population killed. Would be also interesting t
I don't know Stardock marketing policy but as far as I can tell i have other 3 friends which bought gc2 and would be willing to buy the expansion pack but can't because they don't have a credit card or would buy only a retail version. AFAIC i don't know if buying the expansion because i don't think it will add so much content, but i have credit card so i will wait for a review and the first feedbacks. I think that stardock should have done a retail version not only they will lose a lot o
There are at least five unique portrates. Two of those portrates are simply vary in color scheme. The portraits are just 4 i haven't yet found any other race with different portrait. When in the portrait changes just the color it isn't a different portrait but just a small unsuccessful touch to make races different.
Yeah the total is 4 portraits also Jessuins have their own portrait. What i want to emphasize is that so much effort is employed for ship part why not add some portrait to minor race which are just fixed images. This thing is really detracting it was better if they just added 4 minor races instead of having a galaxy with all same aliens.
And another important question would be: What X race can populate Y planet?
Is it possible now to break an alliance with minors or not yet?
What do you mean? There's plenty of minor race portraits, and besides minor races don't really do anything. Also can't you just mod the minor races? As TOV said you have more than 20 minor races but the fact that there are just 3 portraits really detracts me from this game.Considering the effort done by stardock to improve the game wouldn't be a
Considering that stardock has put so much effort adding new ship parts which personally can be interesting but wouldn't be a major feature, i don't understand their policy of not adding unique hulls for every race which can be considered a major feature and so would be a point in favour for people which are not yet decided to buy or not buy the expansion.
I was really pissed when in gc2 every minor race had the same portrait it was really bad to meet 10 minor races having no more than 2 portraits. So in DA will we have more portraits or i have to look everytime at 10 minor races with all the same portrait, which personally really detracted my gameplay experience in gc2.
why not adding some other unique features like unique improvements which can substitute normal improvements? Another good thing would be to add some specific weapons, defense or hull to any of the races. Anything which would add more differentiation between races is always welcome, like frogboy said there was a lack of differentiation between races in gc2, this new feature would help a lot making the game better. Now I can consider to buy one copy of DA.
In my opinion the campaign and the history in dark avatar will get no fashion because what's the difference between Drengin and Korath if planetary invasions are always genocide! There is no way to enslave population nor population can be differentiated in soldiers and unarmed population. Making a campaign with this history required at least that you can have a greater control over your population. For example if you are drengin and have captured a Torian planet through influence you should s
Personally i don't see anything to ashame about not buying a ship pack.First of all the game is a TBS game not only a shipbuilder.Secondly a graphic pack would have had a better result in my opinion, more portraits for minors, more texture for planets, unique hulls for every race could have pushed me to buy it.Anyway for us european i hope the expansion pack will be also available through paradox or the cost would be really high to book a copy from america.
I wonder if in the XP will be finally introduced unique hulls for every race or there will be only new components.About the so called ship pack it is planned or all the content in this pack will be sold through the XP?
i won't buy it.First of all it should be a graphic pack with not oly new hulls or ships it should have also new portraits and new textures for planets. But anyway it's better one package with XP also at an higher price than 2 smaller package.Consider also that there are a lot of people from europe and also 8,95 $ will become 20-25$ so i don' think there is any european would buy a ship pack at 25 euros..........or not? LOL
Personally i hpe the xp will not be cocentrated on ship builder because i could also not buy it.Personally i think that in the XP there should be simply more differentiation between races (except the color on the long run the initial differences between races are nuts).in the game there isn't any vassal state function personally i found the introduction of surrendering to another civ horrible.New improvemnts, new superprojects, more and more portaits and text of technologies not written in 5 seco
Personally i don't play gc2 from months on the long run i have found CIV4 a lot more longeve.Personally i will not buy a multiplayer pack because i don't think his game is fit for multiplayer.Civ4 another TBS was also proggrammed to be multiplayer bt definitively this is a single player game. For GC2 which wasn't programmed for multiplayer i imagine what crap expansion we will get. About single player i hope in the expansion there is more differentiation for races, in this game they seem alw
Another question is if this pack wll be published will it be only downloadable or it will also in retail version? If available could it be purchased through paradox for european customers because if not the total price for us european customers will be 25$ and i don't think there is anyone available to buy a cosmetic pack at 25 $
If it will be only a ship pack with only new components to design ships i won't buy it. Personally i would buy it at a higher price (15$) only if it is a graphic pack which contains not only ship components but also unique hulls for every race, different portrait for every minor race, more texture for planets and something else to customization. If the pack contains only ship components i think it will be bought only by the core fans of the game</f
thank you it works
