I - Idols. Isaiah 44:9: All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Thos who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame.
i wrote about this for class, and when i read the article, i almost cried. the piece in the paper quoted almost her entire account, and at one point she even used the words he told her after it happened against him. i can't even imagine.
woah. i could have guessed those.
yes there are Paris Hiltons. But no one wants to be her! oh and very true there!!!
don't see where you extrapolated "if they didn't have a lot of money, they were failures" from any of the TV shows of the 50's. in an encyclopedia, it went on explaining the origins of "The American Dream" and all this other detailed info. and it said that wealth was success, and if people weren't weal
The American dream is not about family tho. It is about Sucess the type of family i described was a form of success. if the home life wasn't great, it was a sign of failure. if they didn't have alot of money, they were failures. that's the way i percieved it anyway.
that's a good one.
I'm proud of my dorkiness as well you should be.
The American Dream. An ideal universe, where everything works out as planned, and life is simply perfect. You work, you prosper . Everyone wants to take hold of the American Dream. While the taditional view of the original American dream was simply monetary comfort, in the 50's, the Dream shifted to include another focus: the ideal family. T
noah is adorable. i am wondering how he knew what a portal was.
half of that post was gibberish to me...... good luck.
we're in the same house, silly. and... that washer sounds like it might be related to ours.
the 50s. those were the days....... i like that verse.
i remember that song. i love you mama.
i was very young when my parents divorced, and now i'm with my mom. my dad could more or less be non-existant. i visit him occasionally. he doesn't live too far from me. he's an alcoholic, and has hurt me many times with his words and his own stupidity for lack of a better word. but i am so unbelievably happy that he and my mom did not stay together. it wouldn't have been to anyone's benefit at all. not me, or my mother's, to keep us in an environment
that was the cutest thing ever. especially when the kid decided to be a trendsetter and honk in the pause in the song. and while it was cute, it was suprisingly not corny.
that's really cool. i've always wished that i had brothers and sisters closer to my age. almost 7 years b/t Jasmine and I, and 11 years between Noah and I. I love them anyway. Noah has been down playing with his train sets all morning, and Jasmine listening to the soundtrack for that broadway show i was telling you about. it's funny how sometimes i feel like another mother for them, and o
Why do we do the things we do? What makes us get up out of bed every day, and go to work, or school in my case? What is our motivation in the activities we are involved in, and why do we enjoy them, or if we don't, why do we do them? All around I see people doing great deeds for others, especially around Christmas time. it is a great thing to help tho
hey thanks for the tips. i always get very dry skin around winter time, my lips especially. but i can never get them "un-dry". i'll try some of these.
not THAT many years
"and I find myself wandering back to a time when life was much simpler and lines were much more defined." this is my favorite part.
that's really sweet
