I've read 7 and 10 have defects and I've seen 7 repeatedly fail to thrive so I'm wanting to change the races with 7 to 8 or 11 depending on their culture...what file in what directory does one make these changes ? I went into the raceconfig file in twilight/data/english and now in the game the races all list their personality as "generic". Did I fail?

What file should we be going in to mod these race personalities ? Does Korath from 7 to 8 stop them from using spore ships? I modded the raceconfig file and now in game it says all races are using "generic" under AI personality. what did I do wrong ?

Since updating to the most recent patch I have been experiencing the lack of AI expansion refered to in several posts on these forums. Certain AIS handle their tech much better than others. The Terrans in particular seem to expand extremely well while the Dregin, Torian and Yor do not. I noticed that the last update was in 2009. Is there any plans to address these known issues ?
I guess somewhere between the original ToA release and the most recent patch they added back in the race spying UI I remember from DA. Now that I have the most recent patch the spying interface is similar to the previous Galciv2 releases.

How does spying work in TA ? I'm familiar with DA where you put the spies in up to 4 slors to get intell on a race but I cant find that screen in TA
I'm having a similar problem. Bought the hard copy of the ultimate edition published by Kalypso and Impulse wont recognize the serial. Kalypso got back to me quick saying the serial was from Impulse and to contact them. I'm 4 days into waiting for a response...

When setting up a random map ...does the abundance of "anomalies" effect the number of minable space resources ?

i want to play the alterians...but they dont start with enough tech..so I play the bugs and augment their race abilities... why do some races start with a whole lot more tech than others ?

Okies so I downloaded the multimedia file... first thing I noticed is several ..thin pink lines... running horizontl on the new/load/etc game screen... that went away after about 20-30 secs When I got my game loaded up the "fog of war" seems to be much more dense than I remember..it became thinner when I shifted the camera angle...but when I first loaded up I couldnt see much beyond the very radi of my planets and even my ships were knee deep in the stuff like they had no v
