hey Cerebro... i think u already know XML, u use it for WMP skining...!!! & btw Skin factory commmented on my skin saying that they r working with (or maybe trying to) MS to implement true alpha transperancy in wmp skining...
Pacific
thats funny... i rarely use the clipping color attribute...
sorry.. a late reply... ignore my last comment...
well... i used same images for the eq sliders & the bal slider thumbnails... so check them out...
yup... looks like ur transparency is messed up by SS...
video view usually is a standalone view element, so naturally u will ve to set its dimensions like u do that of a view... as for the playlist it can be a subview of a view or a standalone view... so set its dimensions depending on how u r implementing it... & the magic pink problem, maybe dumping the whole into a new skin might work like the last time u did... <img src="http://ima
if u ve winzip 9 all u ve to do is right click on the skin package & choose extract.. after that u maybe able to open those skins in SS...
m making a skin with Balance slider thumbnail 8px in size... will be posting it soon... till then i guess u will ve to work on other parts of ur skin... as well SleekMP XP also has balance slider greater than 7px... check it out... maybe u will find the problem... maybe not...
by pure black & white i mean black(r g b = 0 0 0 or #000000 in hex) & white(r g b = 255 255 255 or #ffffff in hex)...
ok.. this is not an issue for, but now that we r mentioning bugs here goes one thats been around for a long time... my skin SleekMP XP clocks an avg. of 50+ dl's everyday, yet i haven't seen it in the top WinMedia Themes list for some time now...
u r using Skinstudio...!!! well... i suggest u use the normal hand coding technic as that feature of skinstudio (wmp skin support) is still in developement stages... bound to throw up bugs.... same goes to all ur previous threads...
have u put the magic pink around the map... that helps sometimes, also dont use pure black & white in the map....
IR, the slider thumbnail(button) has to be of the width (if the slider is vertical) or height (if the slider is horizontal) that is equal or less than the width(vertical slider) or height(horizontal slider) of the slider images...
do u have any transparency in ur main slider image (such as transperent areas in a png)... if yes the slider can only be used by clicking on the opque areas...
or add onClick="functionName()" to the button...
looks like u r putting the fullmode code in the js file.. (tell me if i m worng).. why not put it in the skin defination itself where u declare the button element... add onClick="view.returnToMediaCenter();" to the button defination...
till the daybefore i was on level 3, todays i m on level 2... i guess that its a bug (& not as though i was demoted)...!!!
you will ve to use the customslider element to create ur sliders... check out the WMP SDK for the same... m also working on a skin with curved sliders... hope that helps...
the really obivous reason is that creating icons for the 256 color mode(win9x requirement) is more difficult than creating for the turecolor alpha blended mode (XP standard) that is to make them look so sweet in 256 colors as they look in XP is a real hell <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/
this may not be as usefull as other ve stated, but... number of downloads dont count (dont get demoralised with low DL counts), there will always be people who do OO's & ahh's, momentarally get excited by it , then shut out them & pay more attention to those who give u bad comments & think why did they
hey Cerebro... open my SleekMP XP skin (the code i mean) & look in the video section... the view id for video in the wms file is "videoMP".. in this view look into the subview "vidBotRTC"... in the js file look for the "videoFn (doWhat)" function inside of which see case "resize".. i kno thats not really helpfull but its the best way for getting a step by step way instruction
nearly two & a half year on 2k... if my sys starts 2 give me trouble i just delete my profile & create a new account... that brings it back up2 speed..!!
count me in on this... this would be a great idea as it will let us skinners get to help each other...
just my 2cents... ( well... paisa in my case.. )... it will also be nice to see how a skin is rated in the skin details page..
