Votes are only based on current Morale, and that can be improved immediately by lowering taxes for one turn I cannot find the link right now, but I recall Brad posting about (maybe it was a journal?) the fact that in gc2 there is a rolling average on the morale for the purposes of voting, not just th

Most of us talked lots to get our ranking. Some of us just woke up one day and were magically promoted, not knowing why....
As I was perusing the screenshots the other night, an idea smacked me on the head... (forgive me if it's already been discussed) This screenshot in particular: https://www.galciv2.com/screenshots/beta3/usenet32.jpg I would like to see the Available Projects list be tabbed similar to the ship design screen for the different type of ship parts... or in some other way allow me to filter out the projects I dont want to see, so I can get to th
We can do this in debug mode. How does one enter the "debug mode"?
I've been bugging Cari in the chat room for these, so I'll /sign this too.
Hurrah for trade routes. And, kudos for a visual representation of said trade routes (other than the mini freighters themselves).
That is a tremendous lead time for an ESRP review. Looking forward to putting WoW to rest for a few days and get knee deep in bugs in beta 4.
You should check out GC1 with the AP expansion pack.
I agree, the pre-turn dialog/ui/screen popups are a bit aggressive, and generally dont lead your focus to where it should go. I'll start jotting down a list of things and post here later.
heh, finally fixed the abilities multiplication bug
This has been fixed, for sure.

You should have access to the next major beta release. (98.39% certain on this response)
Yes, it happens on all upgrades. It only happens when you've just clicked it on the right menu to bring up the build/buy option. Once you select Build, the correct time shows up on the build queue.
Mini-map: Any way to get this so that we can rotate it? My current game I started in the very top corner. I rotated the main map basically 180 so that I was working my way "up" exploring. But the mini-map remained the original way with all open space going down. Very confusing. This would be a stellar (heh) addition to the game.
What were you doing just before the button dissapeared? Have you tried saving and reloading the game?
You can purchase a TotalGaming.net package of 10 tokens ($69.95usd), purchase GC2 (for 5 tokens), and then download via Stardock Central. I did this a couple of days ago, I dont believe they've cut off access to it at this time.
I play the majority of my games zoomed out to the max and on several occasions I have noticed that ships that are on autopilot are not pointed in the direction of their travel. If you move the ship while zoomed in enough to see their facing, or if you click the turn button, their direction is fixed... I dont have an accurate means of reproducing this at this time. It doesnt seem to happen consistently. Im just making a thread here to see if other people may have noticed thi
