Is hex editing of the exe possible or allowed? As I have had no luck with modding the xml files yet and i've yet to put together an event to reinstate a dead race.

Can anyone suggest a way of stopping an opponent race surrendering or at least turning down the frequency. It distrubs me immensly to see entire species just surrendering to some random race because a superior opponent decided to declare war. This seems to happen to me before the game even really gets going and i'd like to set it up so races fight to the end or at least fight before giving up. I enabled them using the scenario editor, along with all 10 races, myself as the custom race and using the control+shift+d cheat to bring in all possible minor races
I agree with your minor race idea's, they really need a purpose and it sounds creative I would really like the toggle 'do minor races colonise' Yes 100% Yes 50% Yes 25% No Minor races totally off This would let pepole tweak them as we can regular races, some people want them, others could do without them but right now they just feel unfinished, in what otherwise is an enjoyable game to play.

Sorry this isn't working for me either. I read a thread where supposedly we could add races to the xml file and they would appear, provided they had custom planets designed also but i've not seen one appear yet. Even using the control+shift+D cheat. Anyone got any idea's?
Tweaking them into AI would have the same effect as lying when you choose the number of opponents. When I chose four opponents then I mean four opponents, not an arbitrary number that could or could not be based around the number four. What i suggest : The Majors are just the 2-10 players (AI or Human) with the most cultural influence. And only the Majors can VOTE in the UE (but the minors can BE in the UE). Then, make more uses of the UE (Few uses actually). I love this idea <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL
Well I find this a bit funny since I remember threads from previous months with people complaining about the minors expanding too much (this was when they were still using the same AI than major races) [Cake Walk] I hate what they have done to minor races personally, they either should of
