Good job and thanks jpinard. In real life, you wouldn't want glare on your screen or dashboard. I don't understand why they'd decide to add it on the virtual dashboard; the only thing it does is to obscure the interface. May I make one request: please make another version that removes all glare from the interface (on the map toggle icons, the main info display, the small window and the color-coded bar to the left.)

Okay, so I know you can customize the Drengins in the campaign, but you'd have to do that every mission. I wonder if it's possible to mod the interface to enable the LOAD button? It's inexplicably greyed out as is...
A filter/tab thing in colony management, as in ship designer, that separates different types of improvements (standard, super projects, galactic achievements, trade goods).
The displayed unit for ship range is now "sector". According to the wiki ( Link ), one "sector" equals to 50 parsecs. This does not correspond to the sector displayed on the map, which are 15 parsecs per sector. This is very confusing to say the least. Please correct or simply change the range unit to parsecs.
A STOP button and/or hotkey that stops any ship movement immediately. Useful for stopping autopilots from doing stupid stuff.
It's now impossible to remove a ship component with other components attached to it, which is quite annoying. We should be able to remove a component and all attached components as well.
Display the hull size in the shipyard listing, and better yet the possibility to sort by hull size.
Option to speed up ship movement on the map.
Display the in-game date of the save files in the save/load window.
Option to disable surrendering.
-Option to NOT popup the research screen on load/startup. -Option to change all popup news items (galactive achievements, trade route opens, anomalies, etc.) cue up as the icons on the right a la ship/building completions instead of popping up automatically (and possibly annoyingly).
Two things: 1. Fleets with only one ship left should be automatically disbanded. It seems to do that sometimes but not aways. 2. When zoomed out, the icon for the big freighters (the ones built from starports) and the small freighters (the ones that travel automatically on traderoutes) are too similar. IMO the small freighter icons can be much smaller, or even to have a different form.
Just a slight interface tweak: In the domestic policy window, spending distribution box, the locks next to the sliders will simply lock the sliders dead. I think that it should only lock the locked slider from automatically changing the value in response to changes in other sliders. There's no good reason one shouldn't be able to manually change the locked sliders without having to unlock it.
Exzachly, good job and thanks with the editor. I've got a bug to report, though. I tried using the map editor, started up a blank map, and then tried to add a system from the CustomPlanets.xml. When I choose the predefined Sol system and click OK, I get an error message that says "0.50 is not a valid floating point value". The "0.50" in question seem to be the PercentOfStarSize value defined for Earth. The same error occured with the sys
