Invisible / Distorted Ships TABeta1 1.8c/ and TABeta 2 (UPDATED POST)

Here are three pictures of invisible ships in the new beta. This is the first for me. I can send the debug.err file if you need it but I think this has been a fairly common problem.

that was the first time it happened and right after that a second time a few weeks later. All of which for me only have appeared on constructors.

In this last picture it instead of being invisible it is distorted, mainly looking just like an enlarged hull.

I still see this happening in new games created after the Beta 2 release? I don't see this listed in the known problems or fixed problem section. I now see this happening to both colony ships and constuctors.

Sorry if I missed this in the pinned posts.

This was still prevalent in TABeta2b using the saved game from when I started in TABeta2a. Here is a new screenshot.

I will start a new game later playing as the Terrans again in TABeta2B to see if this is still there in my new games with the latest patch.

I've seen this in Beta2B. Have not seen any invisible Drengin ships yet though. Those were appearing in great numbers in the previous versions of the TA Beta.

I did what you suggested with renaming my folder via e-mail and so far the new game I started with the Terrans is okay however, usually this doesn't start until I'm well into the game.

I have seen the cruddy Drengin Super Dominator Corvettes go invisible in the latest build. Three attacked an Arcean ship, and one was destroyed. The remainder of the fleet actually went invisible during the battle. I was watching from zoom level 2.

Yeah, unfortunately I've noticed it again as well. Lots and lots of them. I still can't figure out why they build so many even when they obviously have better designs (all the other ones that aren't invisible). I guess they are building them early in the game and then just holding on to them for cannon fodder.

Actually, they get them for free when they declare war (or have it declared on them). They're scary very early, but the real problem is when they become invisible.
