One star per sector?

Will each sector just have a star in the middle of it? It makes the map look way too grid-like.

No, there can be up to 3 stars per sector.

Judging from the screenshots this will not be the case. There are sectors with one, two and even three stars in them (if i'm not mistaken) and they aren't just in the middle.

Ähm it look like that they have even place for four...stardock say maximum are only 3 but a sector in GalCiv2 are not like in GalCiv1they have there nothing like that there was a sektor one movementpoint , one System, one astroid and so on..
Why they creating sectors?

A sector in GalCiv I was actually a space of 12x12 single squares. I think the squares are called parsecs in GCII.

I remember that some of the betas had a bug that generated maps like that. I think that was fixed in the gammas quite some time back.
