Extra content and Paradox Interactive

how will it be made available?

I was wondering how the promised extra content for pre-oderers is going to be made available. Will that be via download? I'm particulary thinking about those additional ship components etc. I assume physical extras (i.e. the fold-out tech-tree) will be included in the box?

Furthermore I'm not sure the extra-promised goodies here on the site (so pre-ordering via Stardock) are the same for orders via Paradox Interactive (for Europe). Do pre-oderers from PI for Europe also get the extra's promised here: Link

Sorry if those things have been asked before. But I searched a little and could not find the answers to those questions.

there are a lot of retailers in europe where u can buy gc2. the question is if stardox or paradox have given preorder version to these retailers. i really don't understand if retailers have 2 versions of galciv2 the preordered and the normal copy.

Lucasiewicz, the extra goods are (from what i know as of now are): Special Ship Jewlery(Extra ship componets),that tech tree thing,GC2 Desktop Theme(SD is legendry for their DTs),GC2 Collectors Edition Box,Probley A CD holder,I would like a CD soundtrack (Like CIVIV which was decent since i didn't have a good comp now...),And some other cool stuff. hope i didn't screw up SDs plans...

oh about europe...Pardox is publishing in europe not develping(paradox has henchman distrubuting...Gamestop is probley one) so my conssenus tells me that GC2 Pre-orders in europe should be the same as in america(at least in general languages are sure to be different) i hope GC2 doesn't go through the T2 Disease.

Im pretty sure that the extra stuff is only available to people who ordered Online. Im not sure if everyone is aware of that our not... kinda sucks cause I had to preorder at my local store

But oh well... im sure the modding community that will crop up with this game is gonna provide plenty of extra ship design peices

All users who pre-order it will get extra content: Additional ship components, the Galactic Civilizations Desktop and more. Players who purchase the retail pre-order (either direct or pre-order it from retail) will get the special pre-order package which includes a fold-out tech tree and other goodies.

So I did and this was the answer from a Paradox-eployee:
"I do not know what Stardock will give as preorder extras, so at least partly they should differ. If you preorder the game from us you will receive the following: Our games come in a Steelbook (metal box) which include the techtree foldout (all games purchased in the webshop will have that, not just the preorders.) You will also get the Poster which is linked to in the webshop and you have a chance of winning one of 20 miniature ships."
So much for the physical extras. Will the other extra content be then made available on the Stardock-servers for people who preordered from Paradox too?

'T is as I feared... the "all pre-orders receive the same bonuses" creed only applies to the States / Canada.
Perhaps also to on-line orders such as Amazon.com or play.com.

Meh. I'm gonna play it safe and order the boxed version from SD itself, risking 20€ of customs taxes.

Well, it looks okay if the extra in-game content and the SD desktop (and maybe some other thing I'm forgetting right now) will be made available on SD for people who pre-order it from Paradox. I'm just awaiting some confirmation on that.
