Administrator versus restricted

Maybe I am a bit paranoid but ....

GalCiv II as well as GalCIv have to be started with administrator rights. Personally I like to work with an account who has much lesser authority than "administrator" especially when surfing the web. Will there ever be an installtation routine or an installation option which will allow a restricted user to play the game?

I tried to search all the forum but could not find a search facility. So maybe I formulate an idea which has been posted zillion times. . In that case please excuse my ignorance.

... and continue the good work!

Have you tried running as a restricted user and then using the "run as" command to run the game?
Hold down the left shift key while right clicking on your game short-cut.

Oooops there is always something to learn...
I just had a try at that. Yes it did work and I didn't know that.
So this would ease my concern. But still the game runs with admin abilities which it should not do.

I am used to log in as "administrator" resp. "root" whenever I change something at system level. I'd rather be a "normal" user whenever I conquer systems.

While this seems to be normal with windows systems I don't really estimate it as a "feature". Whenever I buy software I tend to regard it as a k.o. criterium. ... But there are exceptions. Fact is Galciv I and Galciv II is the only user software on my computer which needs admin rights.

As I stated in my first post: maybe I am to paranoid. ... and I am still looking forward to the final release.
