A few more ideas to smooth out the gaming experience.

First, the one I already mentioned in the 4D thread, about having the auto-tile advance skip tiles needing terraforming while there's still unused green tiles on the planet. Having to click back on a green tile smells of micromanagement.

Second, we have a go to planet button on the GNN, can we make that go to where the combat happened on combat events? This is certainly better than nothing, but it would be a nice shortcut.

Third, we need a better interface on BC/influence trading. Sometimes a single slider position is 1000 or more individual clicks. Personally, I think that an "autonegotiate" button is appropriate, because there's no thought in the current settings, you just go up till the green turns red, then back off till it turns green again. It would be a different issue if there were a yellow/orange/or other colors in there where the AI had a 50/50 chance of accepting the trade (which isn't a bad idea), but as is, having to click till you get it just right stinks of micromanagement. Yes, I'm anal retentive enough that one time when the first slider position up from 0 BC was 1200+BC and red, I really did click the mouse button 340+ times waiting for the green to turn red because I needed the money. I don't think it added anything to my gaming experience.

I'm not saying that autonegotiate should be able to trade techs, just balance off the current trade with BC or influence, whichever of the requesters is open.

Overall I'm liking 4D.
