Loading Save Games

Unable to load any save game since I updated .77[b].009 Have two autosaves and a normal save that all crash while loading. All three made with .009

mmm dunno about that. i know 4b can't load 4a games. are you poz that your save games are 4b?

Yes they were all 4b games but they were all overwrites of 4a games wonder if that makes the difference.

try deleting the files in your My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\temp folder, as well as any .shipclass files in your Data folder and any .shipcfg files in your shipcfg folder that have _UD_ in their name.  That should clear out any old data.

Wouldn't it be a better option to put the selfmade designs in the My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\temp folder as wel ?

Whoops never mind... misread it... there allready in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2

Well I can't load the save game I wanted to but I can create save games and load them now anyway better than nothing

When you load a saved game and it crashes, you may want to check the debug file. If the last line is something like "Debug Message: Can't find ship type FighterG+PMk1 in definitions" then you may have made a ship design obsolete or you may have deleted it.
