The nice description of Earth on the colony details (Earth is the one place human can truly call home -- or whatever it says) gets wiped out and replaced with the standard "Founded in 0, the Earth colony...." when you land your first colony ship on a new planet (when you make your first "new" colony).

Also, the changed description of Earth does actually say it was founded in "0", instead of "2230" or whatever it is supposed to be.
