So far ive deleted everything out of my registry and such. Re-installed and everything and still no luck.

I seen the game list behind the update menu, then it goes to news, then when i click back to games nothing. Just blank.

Maybe the servers are down or something.

Also the Serial Number isnt staying in. Everytime i close and open the application i have to re enter it. I copy and paste it EXACTLY as it was emailed to me. Also ONCE entered it says expiration date 1900?? Lol kinda funny

Looking through the debug code, the problem seems to be that my account isn't getting validated correctly. I draw this conclusion because when i checked account info after i had successfully connected to drengin, it shows that it downloads the info fine from the server, but the info is incorrect (no serial number and expiration date set to 1/1/1900).

Still seems like a problem at stardocks end.

I tried on a MODEM =P my laptop is an alienware =P had winxp issues so installed win98 se. still had the same issue

OK. Now I remember a problem that happened many months ago where someone ordered the DGM and the account information did not get entered into the data base correctly (it is an automated process, but something failed somewhere). I don't think even Brad Wardel (FrogBoy - the CEO of SD) knows how to correct this. I think only Pat knows how, which will be Monday unless Brad can get ahold of him before then.

Another question about the GAME

if your party loose's control DOES the game end or something? I wanted to find out for myself but im much to impatient

I have yet to see if that will happen. The senate function was only just put into the Bata 3/3A builds. But on the OS/2 version you did not loose control of, or loose, the game. You could assign social projects to planets that improved their morale, change the tax rate, anything that would improve morale. Then, after playing the game a few times, I (and everyone else, I think) figured out how to manage the game to prevent loosing control of the senate. And I thinik this is one of the more important aspects of anyone's strategy.

You don't loose control, but your bonuses go away and a few negatives are tacked on... I think you get more negatives the less seats you have...

Thanks to everyone for helping Exodius with the problem...and yeah, it does look like it may be a problem on our end. I swear by our little GalCiv community sometimes, you guys are the greatest! ;)

Exodius: When I get in on Monday I'll tell Pat Ford about it. He's the one that made the DGM, and thus would be the one who knows how to fix your delimma. My appologies for all the hassle it's caused ya :( But hopefully the game will be worth it :) Take care!

Sorry for getting so upset. As i said a mix of things in one day :P EXTREMEMLY excited about playing GalCivs (even more so then imperium galactica 3).
