How do you colonize a planet in this game?

I must be the only chucklehead out here that can't figure out how to colonize a planet! I sent my colony ship to Earth which is suppose to have 3 habitable planets. When it gets in the square next to earth, I try to click on the ship and right click on Earth. I've tried double clicking, quadruple clicking, nothing am I doing brings me to any pop up box to colonize the planet. Please tell me what I am missing? Thanks!

As Ugleb mentioned in your other thread, it sounds like you're trying to colonize Earth. Your homeworld (i.e., Earth) already starts as being colonized.
