Does the wallpaper save with the dxtheme file?

It must, it's always there when I open a theme. Change the extension to zip and take a look inside.

yeah, it has to I think. whenever i create a theme and just save it, the wall always loads ..... but i haven't tried it after moving/deleting the original wall....hmmm.

It's an option in the DX Builder Configuration.

I saw the options, it just seemed the file size was a little small for including the wall. Thanks.
